Check Out The Trailer For ‘Hell Or High Water’ Starring Chris Pine and Ben Foster!!!
Hey guys, Jana here,
The first trailer for ‘Hell or High Water‘ has landed and it looks like one of those movies I’m beyond excited to see. Two brothers, desperate to save the family farm in New Mexico, begin robbing banks to meet the looming deadline. The brothers are the gorgeous combination of Chris Pine and Ben Foster, a divorced dad and an ex-con. The flick will premiere at the Cannes Film Festival then will be available August 19 in theaters.

Christoph Waltz and Chris Pine Join ‘Horrible Bosses’ Sequel!!!
Jana B., Here….
I loved ‘Horrible Bosses‘. I’m a fan of just about anything funny and Bosses did not disappoint. So I’m kind of excited about the news that there is a ‘Horrible Bosses 2‘ set to begin production at the beginning of November. Although I have to wonder where the story line is going to go with Jennifer Aniston and Kevin Spacey. Colin Farrell is not listed in the cast list for HB2 so we just have to assume that Bobby Pellett is still in prison.
Walden Media and Jim Henson Pictures Team Up For Christmas Flick!!!
Hey guys, Jana here,
Two great family film companies, Walden Media and Jim Henson Productions, are joining forces to produce, and develop an original story about a rather nasty subject, a pagan demon who punishes wicked children at Christmas. Did I mention he has horns and looks fifty shades of creepy? They’ve gone with the title ‘Happy Krampus!‘ so they’re going to make it a family-friendly project with a live-action production.
Film Review: ‘Hector and the Search For Happiness’!!
Hi everyone, Bryan Here…
You can’t help but love Simon Pegg. His roles in Edgar Wright’s Cornetto Trilogy ‘Shaun of The Dead‘, ‘Hot Fuzz‘, and ‘The World’s End‘ are legendary. His work on the recent ‘Star Trek‘ films, ‘Paul‘, and in the ‘Mission Impossible‘ films have been excellent and very comical. That aside, i love seeing Pegg work on dramatic films, because not only is he one of the best comedic actors around right now, but he is also one hell of a dramatic actor, and his new film ‘Hector and the Search for Happiness‘ highlights that.
Bryan Reviews ‘The Last Temptation of Christ’ Criterion Blu-ray!!!
Hi, Bryan Here….
Martin Scorsese’s ‘The Last Temptation of Christ’ is a beautiful, creative, and unique look into the life of Jesus. Criterion rolls out the red carpet again with this blu-ray version with top of the line video and audio presentations, some decent extras, and one hell of a film. This is spine #70 and I highly recommend this bluray. Definitely worth the upgrade if you already have it.
TV Review: The New ‘JACK RYAN’ Series!
This weekend I had the time to watch the entire first season of Amazon’s new series Jack Ryan. Growing up I enjoyed all of the Harrison Ford versions of Jack Ryan and even liked the Ben Affleck iteration. The reboot attempt with Chris Pine fell pretty flat for me a few years back but I’ve always enjoyed the character. John Krasinski’s Jack Ryan is a perfectly serviceable TV hero but is really bogged down by the story around him. In an effort to be optimistic, I will say that I am hopeful for the second season.
Blu-ray Review: ‘A Wrinkle In Time’!
THE FILM
(This film portion was written by Beka Perlstein!)
I really wanted to like A Wrinkle in Time more than I did. I gave it my best shot, but in the end, the only thing I can honestly say was that it had lots of great colors. Perhaps it was my high expectations for a Disney film, plus Oprah Winfrey and Mindy Kaling that set me up for disappointment, but regardless, I was left feeling let down in a film that I knew practically nothing about. I have never read the 1962 Madeleine L’Engle novel, so I honestly had no clue what the plot was but whatever, it’s Disney, it’s gonna be good. Well…

4K UHD Review: ‘Hell or High Water’!
THE FILM
(The film portion was written by Liz Tramer)
Director David Mackenzie’s latest film, Hell or High Water, is a perfect example of how slow and steady wins the race. The film is a little slow to start, but once it gets going, it’s fantastic. The story centers around two brothers, Toby Howard (Chris Pine) and Tanner Howard (Ben Foster) who are desperately trying to save their mother’s farm and keep it in the family. The brothers are literally under the gun to find the money and decide the quickest way to make the deadline is to rob banks. Toby is intelligent, calm, cool and collected and the brains behind the operation. Tanner is an ex con hothead who relishes the crime spree and does little to control either his rage or his inclination toward violence.

4K UHD Review: Wonder Woman!
Hi everyone, Bryan here….
THE FILM
The Warner Bros./DC Comics Cinematic Universe has been trying to get off its feet for a while now with no success, besides some decent box office money. However, most people would tell you that the new DC Comics‘ films are just not up to par with their rivals over at Marvel for many reasons. These people would be right. Perhaps one of the best moments of Batman v Superman was in fact Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman. It was just a shame she only had a few minutes of screen time in that film. The rest was mostly trash. Luckily, Warner Bros. and DC Comics decided to finally make a Wonder Woman movie, which is the first superhero film to feature a female superhero as its main protagonist, as well with a female director with Patty Jenkins. The result is satisfying, making Wonder Woman a damn good film with a few flaws.
Wonder Woman 4K UHD and Blu-ray Announced!
Hi everyone, Bryan here….
Perhaps the biggest movie of the summer and the one film to get DC and Warner Bros. back on track with their superhero films – WONDER WOMAN, is coming to 4K UHD, Blu-ray, 3D Blu-ray, and DVD. Warner is sure milking this for all its worth, since they are also releasing a 3D version of the film, even though 3D is dead in the water. The 4K UHD is the way to go for sure here if you have the right equipment. You can own the movie digitally as soon as August 29th, and you’ll be able to purchase the Blu-ray, 4K, 3D, and DVD on September 19th. There are tons of bonus features as well, which I can’t wait to watch. Official information below.

Wet Hot American Summer: Ten Years Later Has a Trailer!
Hi everyone, Bryan here….
You all taste like a burger. I don’t like you anymore. Of course, I joke. The next installment in the new Wet Hot American Summer franchise is almost here with Wet Hot American Summer: Ten Years Later. When the first film came out, there was a scene in the movie where all the camp counselors discussed coming back to camp ten years later for a reunion.
Film Review #3: Wonder Woman!
Hey guys, my name is Josey and I’m an avid comic book reader and Wonder Woman fanatic.
My love for Wonder Woman began with DC’s New 52 Wonder Woman story told by Brian Azzarello and Cliff Chiang. I was always aware of the character Wonder Woman but reading the comics opened my eyes to her world filled with fantastical elements of Greek mythology with underlying moral and ethical conflicts. To me, she represented compassion, love, strength, and courage. Wonder Woman is confident and anyone who tests her will quickly find out they were wrong to do so.
Film Review #2: Wonder Woman!
Dan M., here….
Let’s cut to the chase, Wonder Woman is great and one of the best modern superhero origin movies ever made. It deserves to be mentioned in the same breath as the original Superman, Batman Begins, Iron Man, etc. It is a nearly flawless introduction to a truly interesting character who cannot only carry her own film but will hopefully help carry future DC films the way Iron Man does with Marvel ones.
