Rob Zombie Heads Back to ‘The Devil’s Rejects’!

Rob Zombie looks to be headed back to his roots by making yet another ‘Devil’s Rejects‘ movie. There are many people reporting about it and it seems has confirmed that his next film after his Groucho Marx movie ‘Raised Eyebrows‘, which I can’t confirm if he’s been filming that for the past few months or not. Zombie though will make another movie in that ‘Devil’s Rejects‘ universe, but it’s still unclear if it will be a sequel or a  prequel to that infamous Firefly family.

THE FILM

The original ‘Texas Chainsaw Massacre‘ is one of the best horror films of all time. It still holds that title to this day. One thing most people don’t realize though is that the original film was made in such a way to evoke terror and horror, that it was filmed in such a manner as to show almost not gore, blood, or violence. It was all left off-screen for the most part. In return, this was a low-budget independent horror film that was fast-paced, horrific, and wildly entertaining, if not scary-as-hell. It truly is one of the perfect horror movies. some twelve years later, the original director Tobe Hooper came back and directed a sequel titled ‘The Texas Chainsaw Massacre II‘.

I am SO excited about this event. It has been two years since I was first able to visit Texas Frightmare Weekend. My first visit included meeting and shaking hands with notable people like Veronica Cartwright, Bill Moseley, Sean Patrick Flanery, Bernie Wrightson, Lyle Blackburn, Tom Savini, Tom Skerritt, Teen Wolf’s Dad and I got to see Danny Trejo and Gary Busey and ET’s Mom, and Grizzly Adam’s, and SO many others.

You’ll be able to meet the legendary zombie director ‘George Romero‘, Linda Hamilton, and a ‘Terminator‘ reunion minus Arnold Schwarzenegger and James Cameron. Plus, you’ll be able to watch the original ‘Dawn of the Dead‘ with George Romero himself. How cool is that. The fest will take place April 9-19, and you can start purchasing passes now with the links provided below. It looks like there will be some excellent filmmakers and actors in town for the festival as well as a treasure trove of awesome movies, which you can see listed out below with a little bit of information on each film.
