This will be the 24th Bond movie and has Daniel Craig returning as the secret agent as well as Ralph Fiennes taking the role of M. This just looks amazing. Bond. James Bond Sets Film Date for December 6!!!

by Red Zeppelbon on Sep 16th, 2014

Hey guys, Jana here,

daniel-craig-as-james-bond-99127

James Bond lovers, get ready for some good news! Not only is the 24th film in the series beginning filming on December 6. Daniel Craig isn’t only under contract for the 24th film, but the 25th film as well. There is a story arc that will connect the two films in a way that has only been done one time before on any of the Bond films. ‘Casino Royale‘ and ‘Quantum Solace‘ are the other two films that had a direct impact on the next one and is basically set up as a sequel to the first film. This film will also NOT be based on any of the Ian Fleming books, nor any of the other novels that different writers have given the literary world.

Film Review: ‘Teenage’!!!

by Red Zeppelbon on Apr 30th, 2014

Hello, Jana here,

BgIjQeXCcAALTnu.jpg_largess

I spent some time reviewing the documentary ‘Teenage‘ today. Jon Savage is a Cambridge educated writer, broadcaster and music journalist. He is known for his award-winning history of the Sex Pistols and punk music. This documentary was based on his book ‘Teenage: The Creation of Youth Culture‘. Director Matt Wolf co-wrote the script with Savage. Featuring voices that tell first-hand accounts from American, British and German viewpoints while a collage of archival material give the film its depth. Narrative voices performed by Jena Malone, Ben Whishaw, Ahlden Ehrenreich, Ben Rosenfield and Jessie Usher among others.

Film Review: ‘Skyfall’

by Gumbercules9000 on Nov 8th, 2012

Hi, Bryan Here….

It’s hard to believe that the James Bond series is 50 years old now.  Don’t let the age fool you, because with the latest installment of Bond, ‘Skyfall’ might just be the best one yet.  Action-packed with giant set pieces, bits of humor, one of the best villains in Bond history, and one hell of an homage to the original Bond should make ‘Skyfall’ and instant classic and fan favorite of the 007 franchise.

Film Review: ‘Cloud Atlas’!!!

by Gumbercules9000 on Oct 23rd, 2012

Hi, Bryan Here….

‘Cloud Atlas’ is not just a movie you view, it’s a full experience.  Only a few films can hold that title of being an experience and not just a film we casually watch on a weekend.  The Wachowski siblings and Tom Tykwer did a flawless job in adapting David Mitchell’s novel to the big screen.  I believe that ‘Cloud Atlas’ is a milestone in filmmaking with superb acting, an original way to tell multiple stories, and some of the best editing I have ever seen.  Not only is ‘Cloud Atlas’ a visual experience, but it is a spiritual experience, at least to me it was.  This 3 hour film is one of the better films of the past decade.

Hi, Bryan Here…

Here is a 6 minute trailer for ‘Cloud Atlas’.  This definitely looks epic, which is based on David Mitchell’s magnificent story, which spans 100’s of years.  Tom Hanks, Jim Broadbent, Halle Berry, Ben Whishaw, Jim Sturgess, Susan Sarandon, and Hugh Grant star. It looks like Tom Hanks plays several different characters and Hugh Grant looks like something out of Mel Gibson’s ‘Apocalypto’.  The Wachowskis and Tom Tykwer directed this, which they brought us the ‘Matrix’ trilogy and ‘Speed Racer’.  This opens October 26th.

Check Out the ‘Skyfall’ Trailer!!! 007 is Back!!!

by Gumbercules9000 on Jul 31st, 2012

Hi, Bryan Here….

Some interesting and fun marketing campaign for the new James Bond film lately.  If you watched the Olympics Opening Ceremony, you would have seen Daniel Craig as 007 escort the Queen of England to the Olympic stadium as they jumped out of a helicopter and parachuted into the stadium.  It was hilarious.  And if you have seen ‘The Dark Knight Rises’ in IMAX, you would have been treated to a few minutes of ‘Skyfall’.  Well, here is the new international trailer which is all sorts of cool.  Daniel Craig, Ralph Fiennes, Javier Bardem, Ben Whishaw, Helen McCrory and Judi Dench star in the Sam Mendes-directed spy thriller which comes out in theaters on November 9 (my birthday).

Mary Poppins Returns: Film Review!

by Gumbercules9000 on Dec 19th, 2018

Practically perfect in every way. It describes the nanny known as Mary Poppins, as well as the film that brings her back into the lives of the young and young at heart. Mary Poppins Returns is hitting theaters more than fifty years after Julie Andrews and Dick Van Dyke made the film a smashing success. This sequel brings a new Mary to life with Emily Blunt as Poppins and Lin Manuel Miranda as her lamplighter sidekick. It’s different, but it doesn’t stray, and it certainly will have audiences smiling, singing, and raving about the delightful nanny’s return.
