by Red Zeppelbon on Sep 25th, 2017

Hey guys, Jana here,

The 15th Annual Tallgrass Film Festival is set to run from October 18 – 22 in Wichita, KS. The weekend boasts the inaugural presentation of the L.M. “Kit” Carson Storyteller Award to Larry Gross (‘48 Hours‘), and Ad Astra Award presentation to Rose McGowan (‘Charmed‘). Among the throng of films (182!!!) the fest has to offer, there are gala events, after-parties, and enough events to keep anyone, from the most green of festival-goers to the most seasoned pros that binge-watch for a living, entertained, interested, and hell, even relaxed. One of the ticket packages includes a massage.

The festival has given us a complete lineup of films for their 2017 event and since I’m such a nice person it’s my job, I’m giving it to you.

Alien: Covenant is Coming to 4K and Blu-ray!

by Gumbercules9000 on Jul 6th, 2017

Hi everyone, Bryan here….

Well well well. It’s nowhere near game over man with the Alien franchise or their home video releases. Alien: Covenant is coming to 4K UHD, Blu-ray and DVD on August 15th with an earlier Digital release on August 1st. In addition to the mass roll out of these releases, there will also be Limited Edition Exclusives available at certain retailers. Luckily, there won’t be any bonus features specific to the different retailers like they’ve annoyingly done in the past. These exclusives are basically package-only differences, which you can read about below. It looks like Dolby Atmos will be the preferred audio format along with a ton of extras included. I can’t wait to watch this again.

Wal-Mart Introduces Wireless Mobile Phone Service

by Gumbercules9000 on Sep 14th, 2010

Wal-Mart said earlier this week that it will be introducing its own line of cell phone service and plans through its own branding.  The Wal-Mart Family service will be using T-Mobile’s network.

Unlimited calling and texting will cost $45.00 a month for the first line.  Each additional line will be $25.00.   This service will be offered starting next week through out most Wal-Mart stores.

Starting Monday, the chain plans to sell five phones, including a full-blown smart phone, the Motorola Cliq XT, which will cost $249. T-Mobile sells it for $329 without a contract, or gives it away to buyers who sign two-year contracts (with monthly fees that are higher than the no-contract option).

The cheapest phone for the service will be a simple Nokia phone for $35.

I think I’m still gonna keep my iPhone.
