by Red Zeppelbon on Apr 29th, 2016

Hey guys, Jana here,

Alicia Vikander arrives at the Vanity Fair Oscar Party on Sunday, Feb. 28, 2016, in Beverly Hills, Calif. (Photo by Evan Agostini/Invision/AP)

Alicia Vikander is a name that has been mentioned quite a bit in the last year, her Oscar win for last year’s ‘The Danish Girl‘ was a particularly bright spot for the actress, she also appeared in seven movies in the last year, alone. She’s recently been chosen to anchor a reboot of ‘The Tomb Raider‘ and is the new face of Lara Croft.

Jana B. here,

The Wolf of Wall Street

I loved ‘The Wolf of Wall Street‘. Two of my favorite things about that movie are Leonardo DiCaprio and Jonah Hill as Jordan Belfort and Donnie Azoff. DiCaprio takes on the unbelievably big characters that are usually brimming with excess and he knocks them over the Green Monster. Every. Single. Time. Jonah Hill has certainly come a long way from my first introduction to him in ‘Superbad‘. I saw him and thought, he’s the token funny, fat guy. I believe every group has to have the token, funny, fat friend. That’s my role. I’m the token, funny, fat girl in my group. I’m really happy that Jonah Hill broke out of that stereotype.

Sofia Coppola’s interpretation of the real life events of a bunch of nobody kids stealing a bunch of expensive stuff from a bunch of nobody celebrities.  Then they got caught, got on the news a bit, got a story in Vanity Fair, and were pretty much back to being forgettable again until Coppola made her movie.

Hi, Bryan Here….

In over 12 years, every cast member has reunited from the hit one season series ‘Freaks and Geeks‘ in Vanity Fair‘s new issue, which was edited by Judd Apatow.  Apatow’s new film ‘This is 40‘ will hit theaters this Christmas.  This is amazing.  Everyone looks great here.  Now I want to go back and watch all 18 episodes again, in a row.  Enjoy the pictures. See more pictures HERE.

Film Review #2: ‘Beauty and the Beast’ (2017)!

by Gumbercules9000 on Mar 14th, 2017

Dan M., here….

landscape-1478512906-beauty-and-the-beast-movie

Disney’s Beauty and the Beast (1991) is in the top 2 Disney animated movies of all-time. I’ll only allow The Lion King, which has a live action version due in 2019 or 2020, to be ranked ahead of it. This isn’t a debate. These are facts. Beauty and the Beast (animated) is a masterpiece from songs to characters, which is why I loved that this new live-action movie stayed so true to the animated version. It was an extremely enjoyable two hours with some really great moments and I look forward to seeing it again.

Hey guys, Jana here,

Ryan Murphy has made one hell of a name for himself in the history of successful television shows with writing and creating credits from ‘Nip/Tuck‘, ‘Glee‘ and the several incarnations of ‘American Horror Story‘. All things considered, Murphy knows how to scare the crap out of us, or make us want to randomly break out in song and dance in the cafeteria, which for some of us, would be more scary than an episode of AHS.

Hi Bryan Here…

I came across the little gem which is an interview of Stanley Kubrick circa 1987.  This is when his “Full Metal Jacket was released.  It is an excellent read from one of the most reclusive film directors ever to grace us with his brilliant work.  The interview was conducted by Rolling Stone.
