Hi everyone, Bryan here….

Screen Shot 2017-02-20 at 10.57.37 AM

Some people love his films. Some hate his films. No matter which side of the spectrum you’re on, you have to agree that every one of Terrence Malick’s films look exquisitely beautiful. With movies like ‘Tree of Life‘, ‘Knight of Cups‘, ‘The Thin Red Line‘, ‘Badlands‘, and ‘Days of Heaven‘, you can’t help but become entranced in the story, characters, and visual spectacle of Malick’s filmmaking process. His past few films have mostly shown a variety of characters who rarely say anything on screen, but instead narrate the movie as it goes along, giving a better visual masterpiece of cinema than a dialogue driven movie.

Iceman Has Said “Yes” To ‘Top Gun 2’!!!

by Red Zeppelbon on Nov 17th, 2015

Hey guys, Jana here,

MjwSohc

When a blockbuster film that makes you a heart-throb the world over and you’re offered a part in the sequel, you say “yes” even before you’ve read the script. At least that’s what Val Kilmer has done. Of course, I’m talking about the highly anticipated ‘Top Gun 2‘. It seems to still be in a concept stage, but getting actors on board proves it’s building steam.

Re-Cast of ‘Blazing Saddles’!!

by Gumbercules9000 on Sep 15th, 2014

Hi everyone, Bryan Here…

url

Here is one of our infamous Re-Cast segments. We went ahead  and recast the funniest movie ever made, ‘Blazing Saddles‘, which was very ahead of its time and starred Cleavon Little, Gene Wilder, Slim Pickens, Harvey Korman, Madeline Kahn, Burton Gilliam, Mel Brooks, and Alex Karras. There is no way we can replace any of the amazing actors aboard here, but in this day and age, a remake is more likely to happen than not. So here are some of our suggestions on who should play which role? Do you agree with us? Let us know  if you agree or missed anything. And please let us know what you think by going to our FACEBOOK page and TWITTER page, which you should visit to catch up on all the latest information. And don’t forget to visit iTunes and Stitcher to subscribe to our podcast. Enjoy the show.

Hey guys, Jana here,

TopGun1

It’s been hoped for, talked about, and wished upon many stars for this to come true. It looks like we are getting a sequel to one of the most amazing films the 1980’s brought us – ‘Top Gun‘. Working up a script for the high-flier is Justin Marks, who is currently in negotiations to work on ‘Top Gun 2‘. Paramount, Skydance and Jerry Bruckheimer are backing this highly anticipated sequel. Bruckheimer was with Disney but has moved to Paramount in April and is jumping in with both feet. I’m seriously confused as to what made it take so long for them to get to sequel stage in the first place. An entire population of women, and some men, would have tossed out money hand over fist to get another glimpse at Cruise’s oiled up abs playing volleyball on the beach.

The Top 10 Perfectly Cast Movie Roles!!

by Gumbercules9000 on Jul 18th, 2014

Paul N., Here…

Top Ten Perfectly Cast Roles

The Bard of Avon said it best, “Some are born great, some achieve greatness, and some have greatness thrust upon them.” Some actors are great, and shine in everything they do (Leonardo DiCaprio, Gary Oldman, Daniel Day-Lewis). Some actors are smart enough to pick roles that best use their limited skill sets (Keanu Reeves). This list takes a look at the perfect pairing of actor and role. In this list, you will find a pairing of actor and role so great that the actor ceases to be themselves and instead makes the character take on a life of its own. These pairings are so uniquely theirs that you can’t imagine anyone else taking their place should Hollywood have the audacity to try.

Hello, Jana here,

robert-downey-jr

Robert Downey Jr. can do anything. I mean the man looks better as he ages, he single-handedly anchors ‘The Avengers‘ with his snark, wit and narcissism, he’s even pursued a singing career releasing an album in 2004 called ‘The Futurist’. It’s safe to assume that anything he touches right now is going to be golden. This is probably what Warner Bros. is assuming since they are teaming up with RDJ and his wife, Susan Downey, working under their Team Downey banner to produce ‘Cloaked‘.

Hi, Bryan Here….

Good news for your Tarantino fans out there.  Actually, I don’t know whether to be happy or angry about this.  Lionsgate and Miramax are releasing a big Tarantino movie set on bluray on November 20th.  It will contain 8 films and two bonus discs.  This kind of sucks, because I imagine most of us already own all of these on bluray already individually.  Now we have to purchase all of these again.  And, why are the ‘Kill Bill’ films not in one film like we have been promised for years now.  I will admit, the artwork is cool from MondoTees, but I can’t justify purchasing this, for two extra bonus discs.  These look to be the same blurays that we already have.  And why did they not wait till next year to release this, so they could include ‘Django Unchained’?    Official press release below.

The ‘5 Days of War’ Trailer Will Blow You Away!!!

by Gumbercules9000 on Jul 6th, 2011

Hi Bryan Here….

Director Renny Harlin is at it again, and this time his new film ‘5 Days of War’ looks really good.  Renny Harlin directed ‘Die Hard 2’ and ‘Cliffhanger’ to name a couple.  IMDB says: “A drama set centered around the war between Russia and Georgia, and focused on an American journalist, his cameraman, and a Georgian native who become caught in the crossfire.”  Enjoy the trailer below and tell us what you think.

Movie Quotes

Andy Dufresne:
Red. If you ever get out of here, do me a favor.
Red:
Sure, Andy. Anything.
Andy Dufresne:
There's a big hayfield up near Buxton. You know where Buxton is?
Red:
Well, there's... there's a lot of hayfields up there.
Andy Dufresne:
One in particular. It's got a long rock wall with a big oak tree at the north end. It's like something out of a Robert Frost poem. It's where I asked my wife to marry me. We went there for a picnic and made love under that oak and I asked and she said yes. Promise me, Red. If you ever get out... find that spot. At the base of that wall, you'll find a rock that has no earthly business in a Maine hayfield. Piece of black, volcanic glass. There's something buried under it I want you to have.
Red:
What, Andy? What's buried under there?
Andy Dufresne:
[turns to walk away] You'll have to pry it up... to see.
