James Spader Will Exit ‘The Office’!!!

by Gumbercules9000 on Feb 27th, 2012

Hi, Bryan Here…..

That’s right, James Spader will leave ‘The Office’ after this season.  He originally only wanted a one season arc and only wanted to be in fifteen of the episodes for one season.  Studio execs granted his wishes.  “James always wanted this to be a one-year arc, and he now leaves us having created one of the most enigmatic and dynamic characters in television,” said “Office” executive producer Paul Lieberstein. “He’s been a great friend to me and the show, helping us successfully transition into the post-Michael Scott years, and I’m grateful for that.”

Hi Bryan Here….

Bears.  Beets.  Battlestar Galactica.  For a while now, ‘The Office’ star Rainn Wilson (Dwight Schrute) and executive producer/showrunner Paul Lieberstein have been toying with the idea of  an ‘Office’ spinoff series, and now that might happen.  No final deals have been made just yet, but they are getting to that point.  NBC is hoping to finalize everything and get this new spinoff show out by mid season 2013.

Hi Bryan Here….

The Geek Deal of the Day is all about ‘The Office’.  Each season is on bluray and comes with tons of extras and that glorious 1080p HD transfer.  Plus, I think this might be some of the cheapest ‘Office’ on bluray ever, so take advantage.  I mean for over 70% off, you can’t beat that.  These would add to your collection or be great gifts for someone.  Enjoy.

Hi Bryan Here…..

As we left last season of ‘The Office’ several big name actors were interviewing for Michael Scott’s (Steve Carrell) position as Regional Manager of Dunder Mifflin.  Among them were Ray Romano, Jim Carrey, Will Arnett, Catherine Tate, Ricky Gervais, and James Spader.  And if you remember in that last episode, Spader looks at the camera and says “I will get this job.”  Well that just may be true.  Spader is in talks to be a regular on NBC’s “The Office”.

The Office’s Craig Robinson to Be The Antichrist!!!

by Gumbercules9000 on Apr 1st, 2011

Hi Bryan Here….

With the economy where it is today, several film studios are producing small budget films with the hopes that it makes a big box office splash.  One of those studios is Lionsgate Films.  They have optioned several films with a budget of two million a piece.  It doesn’t take hundreds of millions of dollars to make a great film or make people laugh or scared.  What it takes are people who are passionate, talented, and enthusiastic about making the film, and all that emotion will carry over into its release.  It’s a good thing.

Hi Bryan Here…

Seems like a trend here over at The Office in that they announce a big star to come on board the day before an episode is aired.  Last week it was Ricky Gervais.  This time it seems that it will be America’s favorite “ANCHORMAN”.

Film Review: ‘Office Christmas Party’!

by Gumbercules9000 on Dec 9th, 2016

Hi everyone, Bryan here…

L-R: Kate McKinnon as Mary Winetoss, Jason Bateman as Josh Parker, T.J. Miller as Clay Vanstone, Olivia Munn as Tracey Hughes in OFFICE CHRISTMAS PARTY by Paramount Pictures, DreamWorks Pictures, and Reliance Entertainment

We’ve all been to Christmas Parties at the office before, and this time of year, when it’s Christmas, we get a plethora of holiday themed films. Well, the end of 2016 gives us ‘Office Christmas Party‘, the vulgar rated R Christmas movie that centers around a giant office Christmas party that’s made by the filmmaking duo of Will Speck and Josh Gordon (‘Blades of Glory‘). Does this offer any insight or something new to the comedy Christmas genre? No, not at all. That being said, this is a highly entertaining and hilarious film that I can see myself watching every year around the holidays. With the all-star cast, good soundtrack, funny dialogue, and an office party that we would all want to attend – ‘Office Christmas Party‘ is a success.

Weekend Box Office Roundup

by Gumbercules9000 on Oct 4th, 2010

I can’t believe October is already here.  This year has been going by fast.

Well everone’s favorite social network Facebook is on top this week.

Aaron Sorkin’s “The Social Network” was #1 at the box office this weekend.  It brought in $23 million dollars.  It’s budget was double that.  So it has a ways to go.

Staying at the #2 spot this week is the cgi animated film “Legend of the Guardians: The Owls of Ga’Hoole”.  It brought in almost $!1 million dollars bringing its two week total to at little of $30 million dollars.

The Wall Street sequel dropped from #1 to the #3 spot this week bringing in $10.1 million dollars for a combined two week total of $35.8 million dollars.

Ben Affleck’s “The Town” dropped down one spot to #4.  It brought in $10 million.

Easy A dropped down 1 spot as well to the #5 spot bringing in $7 million.

The Renee Zellweger thriller, “Case 39” opened up at the #7 spot bringing in only $5.3 million dollars.  The premise of this movie looks amazing, but I do not think it was marketed well.

The remake of one of the best vampire films EVER, “Let Me In” opened in at #8 bringing in $5.3 million dollars.  GO SEE THIS MOVIE.

For the first time since its opening, “Inception” drops out of the top 10 list and goes to #12.  It brought in less than 1 million dollars this week.  It is going on its 13th week in release.

That’s it for this time.  Stay tuned for next weekend.
