Bryan’s Review of ‘Strike Back: Season 1’ Blu-Ray!!!

by Gumbercules9000 on Sep 29th, 2012

Hi, Bryan Here…..

Even though this killer series airs on Cinemax, HBO is releasing the blu-rays.  And I love the fact that HBO is releasing the Digital Copies and DVD’s along with the Blu-rays in the same set.  I hope they continue this.  This is a great original series from Cinemax that looks great and sounds good too.  Not too many extras on this disc besides some commentaries, but I have a feeling that once you start watching ‘Strike Back’, you will want to watch more.

Hi Bryan Here….

One of Cinemax’s first original series gets picked up for a second season.  ‘Strike Back’ will be back in 2012 with brand new episodes.  Ten episodes to be exact.  Production is expected to begin in South Africa early next year.  Kudos to Cinemax for finally getting in the original programming game.  It’s a tough to compete with HBO and Showtime right now.  Hopefully Cinemax will do more genre series.  That’s what I would like to see.

The band is finally back together this week with Tom Nix, Mike Purtill, and Bryan Kluger. In this episode, we discuss in detail the Randy Orton and Brock Lesnar feud as well as if Finn Balor or Dolph Ziggler can be the tentpole of the company. We are glad Mike Purtill is finally back to tell us about the fabled blind-fold match all those years ago too.

Hi Bryan Here….

This just brings joy to my life.  The Force is strong with these people.  Documentarians Heidi Burkey and Tim Larson have been following students for over a year now Arts and Learning Children’s Conservatory in California during which these kids have put on a stage musical production of Empire Strikes Back.

Hi Bryan Here…

One of my favorite things is when I go into a theater expecting a certain caliber of film to be shown, and by the end of the film, not only is that expectation met, but was much much more than what i could have hoped and expected for.  I certainly got this from the new Harry Potter film which is the first of two parts of the final film in the series.

Hi everyone, Bryan here…

jayandsilentbobstrikeback-113582

Kevin Smith is everywhere these days. He’s making movies with food that wants to kill you, podcasting in multiple cities, selling his comic books at his retail stores, and even conducting interviews for IMDB at film festivals. “The guy is like MacGyver. No, motherfucker’s better than MacGyver.” Since his last film ‘Yoga Hosers‘, Smith has been making some DC television series on top of teasing us with stories of a ‘Clerks III‘ film and a ‘Mallrats‘ sequel series, both of which I would have sold my Michael Jackson statue to see.

Wesley Snipes Set To Star in TV Series ‘Endgame’!

by Gumbercules9000 on Feb 23rd, 2015

Hi everyone, Bryan Here…

Wesley_Snipes_-_66ème_Festival_de_Venise_(Mostra)

It’s great to have Wesley Snipes back in the world and getting work. While I wish he would put the fangs back in and handle the sword to kill vampires as ‘Blade‘, it seems he has having more fun than picking big blockbuster projects. At least for now. I’m happy Sylvester Stallone asked him to come aboard ‘The Expendables 3‘, with a possibility to co-star in sequel films.

Jana B., Here…

The current theme with television series these days is they are either pointless, mind-numbing, IQ lowering reality shows, or big cable network sponsored in-depth series. I’m glad that it seems the sweeping series are becoming more the norm. Robert Kirkman, creator of The Walking Dead is adding to his stable of excellent tv offerings with Outcast. No, this isn’t going to be about a leper that is ostracized from the community, or even more zombies that are a threat to the brain functioning population. This time  we step into the world of exorcisms.
