Hey guys, Jana here,

So here’s the new trailer for ‘Star Trek Beyond‘ from director Justin Lin. Trekkies appear to have mixed thoughts on the new trailer. For one thing, you can tell it’s directed by someone new because there is a definite ‘Guardians of the Galaxy‘/’Fast and the Furious‘ feel to it and absolutely ZERO lens flares!

Meet your New ‘Star Trek’ Captain!

by Gumbercules9000 on Mar 7th, 2017

Hi everyone, Bryan here…

Screen Shot 2017-03-07 at 11.14.09 AM

It’s beyond me that there hasn’t been a ‘Star Trek‘ series in more than a decade. Even with all of the recent films, it would seem fitting to have a new series. I know, CBS has said they are doing a new series called ‘Star Trek: Discovery‘, which has been in and out of being made, but it looks like it’s gaining steam now – FINALLY! There is a new captain that will be played by Jason Isaacs.

‘Star Trek’ The Series is beaming up to CBS!

by Gumbercules9000 on Nov 2nd, 2015

Hi everyone, Bryan Here…

Enterprise

It’s about time this happened. It’s been a while since we’ve had a brand new ‘Star Trek‘ series, and since the new feature film franchise is doing so well, it was inevitable that we would finally have a new series. That day has finally come as CBS has just announced a new ‘Star Trek‘ series that will premiere in January of 2017.

Hey guys, Jana here,

star-trek-3

If you’re a Trekkie and paid attention to director Justin Lin’s Twitter feed today, you would see what I’m about to tell you. Lin gave us the new title for the third film in the rebooted franchise. ‘Star Trek Beyond‘. I wonder if the incredibly retro looking patch is going to win over any of the haters that torched the last film, in particular, ‘Star Trek Into Darkness‘ because of how much it felt different to the series it’s based on among other reasons.

Film Review: ‘Star Trek Into Darkness’!!!

by Gumbercules9000 on May 16th, 2013

Hi, Bryan Here….

star_trek_into_darkness-HD

I must admit that when I walked into the the crowded theater yesterday to watch J.J. Abrams’ second journey into the Star Trek universe, I was a bit apprehensive and weary on how good it could be. Reason being, that there were no press screenings before the film was released. On the contrary, the actual press screening was one hour later than the regular screening for anyone to attend who bought tickets. Usually studios do this, because they know they have a terrible film on their hands and do not want negative reviews about their movie until the film is out. I thought of two reasons why Abrams woud do this. Either he really did have a crappy film on his hands or in true Abrams fashion, he kept tons of secrets and reveals throughout the picture wanted to keep all a secret until it was released.

Hi, Bryan Here….

Yesterday, we posted the bootleg trailer to ‘Battlestar Galactica: Blood and Chrome’ which has been in the works for a few years now.  The video was taken down by the studio.  If you didn’t get a chance to see the trailer, it was BADASS.  It looks epic.  But since, this show has been a long and heavy trek in post production, the studio is trying to see how they can earn money on it.

Lionsgate releases fan favorite, ‘Dredd‘ on 4K Ultra HD Combo Pack June 6. The film stars Karl Urban (‘Star Trek Beyond‘), Olivia Thirlby (‘Juno‘), and Lena Headey (‘Game of Thrones‘). Director Pete Travis (‘Vantage Point‘) took a script from Alex Garland (‘Ex Machina‘) and rebooted the story which began as a classic comic book series in 1977. Sylvester Stallone had a run at playing the title role in 1995 and Urban has given us his own rendition of the character in this film.

Hi everyone, Bryan here….

the-oscars-thumbnail

The 89th Oscars were announced today. These are supposed to be the Best Achievements in Filmmaking on all levels. However, year after year, The Academy and “their infinite wisdom” choose to pick dull films that should never be nominated. In fact, I bet you could go through most of the Winners of each year and realize you only watched that film or performance once and never thought about it again. At least The Academy had a good bit of diversity this year, but other than that – these Oscar nominations are boring, dull, and made me go to sleep just watching the equally not-fun announcement telecast.

‘Green Room’ Blu-ray Announced and Detailed!

by Gumbercules9000 on May 3rd, 2016

Hi everyone, Bryan Here….

Green Room‘ was my favorite film from 2015’s ‘Fantastic Fest‘. You don’t get much better than Patrick Stewart as a bad neo-nazi, trying to kill a punk rock band. Not only that, you have the ‘Blue Ruin‘ guys Jeremy Saulnier and Macon Blair on top of this film as well. It’s in theaters now, and I highly recommend you go and see it. Lionsgate has just announced the Blu-ray too, which will release on July 12th with some cool extras. Below is the information.

Hey guys, Jana here,

Space-Jam-620x350

Michael Jordan is not coming back to feature, but another B-ball great is ready to get on the court – LeBron James.
