Spike Lee Will Direct Remake of ‘Oldboy’!!!
Hi Bryan Here….
It’s official. Spike Lee will direct the remake of the AMAZING ‘Oldboy’ for Mandate Pictures. Last week we knew there was something going on between Lee and this film, but nothing was official. But now it is. This is a huge film for Spike Lee. This story and original film is magnificent. I’m fairly sure Spike Lee will do it justice. Can’t wait to see casting. At one point Speilberg was set to make this film with Will Smith. I wonder if Will Smith will still come on to perform and Spielberg might be a producer. Can’t wait to see. Read the press release below.
My Favorite Movies Released in 2018!
The year of 2018 has come to a close and over the past 365 days, I’ve seen roughly 175 new films that were released. I had a ton of fun watching each and every single one of them, even if I came out sour towards a film. There were a ton of great films this year that ranged from big action blockbusters, emotional indie dramas, scary-as-hell films that still haunt me, and some laugh out loud movies that always put me in the right mood. I’d chalk 2018 as a winner in the movie business, because there are some films that came out that I will truly cherish for a long time to come.

Hey guys, Jana here,
Straight from executive producer Spike Lee (‘Inside Man‘, ‘Malcolm X‘) and director Rusty Cundieff (‘Movie 43‘) comes the 1995 horror cult ‘Tales From The Hood‘ on Blu-ray. Scream Factory and Shout Factory are bringing a collector’s edition Blu-ray to release on April 18, 2017.
From Lars Von Trier Comes ‘The House That Jack Built’ For TV!!!
Hey guys, Jana here,
In the world of film making, it’s fairly easy to blend into the crowd as someone that creates semi-commercially acceptable fare staying under budget and netting enough income for a studio to ask you to do it all over again. Then there are the niche directors that some can consider as controversial in their creation of genre films and fans either love them or hate them. Stanley Kubrick, Spike Lee, Peter Jackson and Lars von Trier are all among the type I’d quantify as niche directors.
Blumhouse Prods. Bringing David Berkowitz Mini-Series To Life!!!
Hey guys, Jana here,
Few things entertain me more than a good serial killer book/movie/TV show. I know, it’s a strange interest to have, but this is one of the milder interests of mine. We’ve heard about the Charles Manson slayings going into production for a series with Rob Zombie involved, this time it’s another killer that is getting the mini-series treatment. David Berkowitz, Son of Sam, the .44 Caliber Killer – whatever you want to call him, he’s the next topic for a mini treatment.

Baseball legend Jackie Robinson is getting the motion picture treatment in the form of a big biopic picture of his life and career. Jackie Robinson played baseball for the Brooklyn Dodgers and showed everyone that anyone could play baseball no matter what color, religion, or creed you are.
Climax – Film Review!
There are no other motion pictures out there quite like a Gaspar Noé film. The French filmmaker only has a few movies under his belt, but they have all made a significant impact on cinema in general, including the controversial films ‘Irreversible‘, ‘I Stand Alone‘, and ‘Enter The Void‘. Noé’s latest film, which I’m going to call his latest masterpiece, is called ‘Climax‘, and is a thrilling musical journey straight into hell.
Soundtracks we want to see released on Vinyl!
Hi everyone, Bryan here…
I just love soundtracks to movies. I always have and I believe I always will. There is something about a score to a film that just perks me up in all the right ways and inspires my creative side, whether it be to write a screenplay or go back an watch that old film I love. Music is an integral part to films and is considered to be the mojo of every movie. I’m sure we’ve all seen that odd YouTube video of the final scene in Star Wars: A New Hope, where Han Solo, Luke Skywalker, and Chewbacca walk down a crowded arena to receive their medals to zero music. It’s super weird and awkward with no music, but just random sound effects of footsteps and a rare cough, laugh, and Chewie’s roar. John Williams did such a great job, as he always does with Star Wars music, but that final scene of music really puts your emotions on full blast. It’s all from the soundtrack too.

Top 10 Soundtracks We Want To See Released on Vinyl!
Hi everyone, Bryan Here…
Many of you might already know that I love listening to movie soundtracks. I always have. Since I was a little tyke who could barely see over a counter, I was infatuated with movie scores and soundtracks, particularly the ‘E.T.‘ original motion picture score and the ‘Beverly Hill Cop‘ soundtrack. From there, my love and passion grew for all types of music. My parents had a pretty good record collection that included all three original ‘Star Wars’ albums, ‘The Wizard of Oz‘, and ‘Star Trek I and II’ to just name a few. Throughout the years, I now have a fun record collection that spans all genres of music from Frank Zappa to Rage Against the Machine, from R.L. Burnside to The Pixies, and so on. Along the way, digging through the dirty stacks of crates at local record shops and estate sales, I became hell bent on having one of the best Soundtrack collections. And over the past several years, I’ve been lucky enough to acquire some very sought after albums. But there are still so many soundtracks that have never found their way to vinyl, either commercially or ever really. So here is a list in the hopes that maybe Varèse Sarabande, Mondo, or Death Waltz will consider releasing these albums in the near future.
