Podcast #58 is here, and it was a fun-as-hell show.  We were at Multi-Media Pod’s HQ in East Dallas on an excellent Sunday morning, where our own Gadi Elkon from Selig Film News, Susan Kamyab from ThisChixFlix, Adam Conway from the Angelika Film Center , and Gwen Reyes from FreshFictionTV, and myself were in rare form. It’s been about a month since our last podcast, because there were so many film festivals to cover and tell you about. Here, we discuss the winners of the Dallas International Film Festival of 2015 as well as the USA Film Festival. Tons of movies we are excited about. We also talk about the big movie release of the year, ‘Avengers: Age of Ultron‘, and dissect the sequel for you. We also do a great version of FUCK*MARRY*KILL with the characters of ‘Seinfeld‘ and ReCast ‘Gladiator‘ from 2000. It was a lot of fun. And please let us know what you think by going to our FACEBOOK page and TWITTER page, which you should visit to catch up on all the latest information. Hi Bryan Here…..

NBC has purchased a new comedy show called ‘Married With Roomate’ by Spike Feresten.  Feresten was a writer for Seinfeld and the David Letterman show.  Add to that some Space Shost episodes and that pretty much sums up Feresten.  The project is about a young married couple that moves into a house with their single bachelor friend in an upscale San Francisco suburb. This is Feresten’s second NBC comedy project in 2 years.

Blu-ray Review: ‘Space Jam’!

by Gumbercules9000 on Nov 27th, 2016

Hi everyone, Bryan here…

THE FILM

If you grew up in the 1980s and 1990s, you probably had a Michael Jordan poster, trading card, sneaker, or action figure of one of the greatest athletes and basketball players to have ever lived. The man defied gravity, broke barriers, and even danced with Michael Jackson. Jordan “retired” from basketball to give the MLB a shot, but shortly returned to the NBA soon after that. In his hiatus from the NBA, Michael Jordan got his own film with Warner Bros. with ‘Space Jam‘, where he would star alongside the Looney Tunes in a family adventure.

Blu-ray Review: ‘The Conjuring 2’

by Gumbercules9000 on Sep 12th, 2016

Hi everyone, Bryan here….

THE FILM

It seems like a ton of horror movies come out every year, and most times, they don’t live up to their potential. There are a handful of horror movies over the last decade that really satisfy us horror fans. Films like ‘The Babadook‘, ‘It Follows‘, and ‘The Conjuring‘ will still be talked about for years to come. One name in the horror genre, or at least in recent years is James Wan. This man burst onto the scene with ‘Saw‘, which was basically genre changing and spawned a ton of sequels. Wan also made a few other horror films, all testing the bounds and pushing us into a new horror direction, while still respecting his influences.

Hi everyone, Bryan Here…

the-christ-nail-01-1024

Finally! Larry David has agreed and has come up with a good enough story to bring one of the funniest shows back to television for a 9th season. I’m of course talking about ‘Curb Your Enthusiasm‘. It has been five years since the last season of ‘Curb‘, and I’m just so happy that there will be new episodes. Last week, J.B Smoove, who plays Leon on the show said that Larry was thinking of some ideas and that he wanted to do another season.

Working Title Ep. 1 with Gwen and Bryan!

by Gumbercules9000 on May 10th, 2015

Hi everyone, Bryan Here….

What can I say? I love movies, television, comics, music, WWE, literature, and video games and that’s not even half of it. I’m fortunate enough to have met some amazing and delightful people since 2007 when I started writing about film. Over the years, I’ve talked about superheroes in print, discussed the many faces of Bruce Campbell, and debated who should star in a remake of ‘Seinfeld‘ on a weekly podcast. Since it’s 2015 and we might see zombies anytime now coming up through the ground, I figured it was as good a time as any to get into the video format, hence this new project called ‘Working Title‘, which is currently our, errmmm working title. This is our first episode where Gwen Reyes from Fresh Fiction TV and myself discuss ‘Avengers: Age of Ultron‘, ‘Far From The Madding Crowd‘, ‘Goodfellas 25th Anniversary’, ‘The Marine 4: Moving Target‘ with Mike ‘The Miz’, and the recent ‘Frank Sinatra‘ collection from Warner Bros. We plan on making this a regular scheduled program with tons of surprises in store. We hope you enjoy.

Jana’s Best/Worst of 2014!!!

by Red Zeppelbon on Dec 15th, 2014

Hey guys, Jana here,

PicMonkey Collage

It’s been a big year for the entertainment world. Netflix’s initial push to bring movie-theater worthy films straight to streaming customers and bypassing the big screen altogether set off a chain of deals that will take those fresh releases and push them directly into homes allowing us to bypass a $15.00 soda, but denying us the $20.00 popcorn you can only get at the theater. Then came the deluge of series and movies being made for exclusive run with everyone from Netflix, Amazon to Crackle and everything in between. Top that off with the huge breach of privacy Sony experienced. New releases were flooded onto P2P sharing sites and private emails from the film company’s big wigs that show us how the infrastructure of Sony really works, not to mention what those involved really think of some of their superstars.

Comedian and star of ‘Curb Your Enthusiasm‘, Larry David is taking the Broadway stage by storm when he debuts in the spring starring in his own, autobiographical play. In ‘Fish In The Dark‘, which he describes as a comedy about a death in a family, the ‘Seinfeld‘ mastermind will play “somebody very similar to Larry David – it might even be Larry David with a different name” he told the Times.

Hi everyone, Bryan Here…

logotyo1

After a two week vacation, The Multi-Media Men are back with the 35th episode that covers all things in the entertainment industry. We had a full house this time around with myself Bryan KlugerAdam Conway from the Angelika Film CenterGadi Elkon from Selig Film NewsAndrew ConwayGwen Reyes from Fresh Fiction, and Susan Kamyab from This Chix Flix. It was a lot of fun to say the least.  We now have the Championship round elimination for our new Bracket or Final Four and Championship game, which is the Best TV Shows from the 1990s through present day. Several weeks ago, we took a couple of days to come up with 64 of the best tv shows from that time-frame, and we put them in a NCAA-style tournament bracket to see what would emerge as the best show of that time. We separated them into two categories, which were comedy series and drama series. Even in this final round, there were some big fights amongst us. Blood was drawn, bones were broken, words were said, dogs and cats started living together – MASS HYSTERIA. You can click the link below to see the bracket in its entirety and print it out and play along.  This was a lot of fun.
