Morgan Freeman Joins ‘Last Vegas’!!!

by Gumbercules9000 on May 17th, 2012

Hi, Bryan Here….

We’ve talked about this film before.  ‘Last Vegas’ would follow four older guys in Vegas for a bachelor party where Douglas and De Niro fall for the same girl.  The studio is hoping to sign on De Niro soon, then the rest of the casting will follow.  This sounds a lot like ‘Grumpy Old Men’ mixed with ‘The Hangover’ which could be solid gold.

Hi Bryan Here….

Morgan Freeman and Tom Cruise will be starring alongside in ‘Oblivion’.  Directed by Joseph Kosinski (Tron: Legacy), ‘Oblivion’ follows Cruise who is  the last man on a post-apocalyptic and nearly uninhabitable Earth, who stays behind to repair ships that hunt down and blast a virulent alien species.  And Freeman will play a vital part of the film, but that role is known at this time.

Hello Everyone, Janet W. here…

Below are my Top 10 Best Films and Top 3 Worst Films of 2017 that I was either blessed or, in some cases, annoyed to screen, 24 in all. If you’re like me, then you have grown to love filmmaker Christopher Nolan over the years. Come December 19th, most of his films will be released on 4K UHD for the first time ever. The films include the ‘Dark Knight Trilogy‘, ‘Inception‘, ‘The Prestige‘, ‘Interstellar‘, and the recent ‘Dunkirk‘. Each film will come with HDR as well, meaning a richer and deeper looking image for each movie. Each film will feature extras, the standard Blu-ray Disc, and Digital Copies of each movie. The whole collection will retail at about $150 with the ‘Dark Knight Trilogy‘ retailing at around $70. Of course with the holidays coming up, expect big discounts everywhere for these.

Hey guys, Jana here,

The best way for me to describe this trailer is ‘Grumpy Old Men‘ with Morgan Freeman and Tommy Lee Jones and swap out Ann-Margaret for Rene Russo. While you’re at it you can replace the snow with Palm Springs and add in some mafia intrigue and action. So it’s only like ‘Grumpy Old Men‘ in the way curmudgeonly men snipe at each other and fight over a woman, I guess.

THE FILM

(Film Review portion is by Janet White)

For thirty plus years they worked for Wechsler Steel Company who suddenly relocates out of the country and dissolves their pension fund. Faced with foreclosure, a need for a kidney transplant, and the knowledge that they were robbed to pay their former employer’s utility bills drive Joe, Willie, and Al to rob WSB bank.

4K UHD Review: ‘Now You See Me 2’!

by Gumbercules9000 on Nov 1st, 2016

Hi everyone, Bryan here…

THE FILM

This film review portion was written by Beka Perlstein of Boomstick Comics.

Life is all about the long game. ‘Now You See Me 2‘ pulls you in from the very beginning and quickly wraps you up in a fun game of cat and mouse with none other than The Four Horsemen. This quirky group of magicians is back from the first flick with one major improvement- Lizzy Caplan has replaced Isla Fisher as the token chick, playing Lula May. She’s funny, spunky and the perfect addition to the otherwise all male ensemble.

Film Review: ‘Ben-Hur’!!

by Janet White on Aug 19th, 2016

Hello Everyone, Janet W. here…

Ben-Hur - JH & MF

Family goes deeper than the bond of blood. Some friends can be far closer than biological family. Ben-Hur is the story of Judah Ben-Hur (Jack Huston) and Messala Severus (Toby Kebbell), brothers by adoption and inseparable until ambition drives its wedge. Separate status, Prince of Israel vs. orphan, and respect leads to essentially war.
