Hey guys, Jana here,

Bohemian Rhapsody may be something that we connect with ‘Wayne’s Wold‘, and for good reason, but Mike Myers is not content to leave it at that. The jokester is courting director Bryan Singer and negotiating for a role in a film about the greatest of the great, Queen.

The famous Looney Toon skunk is finally getting the recognition he deserves.  He is getting his own movie.

Warner Brothers is developing a film based on Pepé where he and the girl of his dreams, Penelope Pussycat, would be CG characters and everyone else would be real.

Mike Meyers will lend his voice as Pepe Le Pew.  No word yet on who will be Penelope Pussycat or who else will star in the film, but with a big name like Mike Myers, you can be sure that the stars will come rolling in.

It has been quite a while since the Looney Toons have been on the big screen.  I think the last time they were on it, was Looney Toons: Back in Action.  Which wasn’t that great of a movie.

It is an odd choice to revamp the Looney  Toons with this character rather than Bugs or Daffy, but if this movie does well, let’s hope we can look forward to an entire Looney Toon series of films.

Favorite Movie Scene of the Day #9!

by Gumbercules9000 on Jul 6th, 2017

Hi everyone, Bryan here….

One of my favorite pastimes is singing out loud while driving or riding in the car with someone. I imagine most of us at one point or another have belted out our favorite tunes by ourselves or with our friends in the car, no matter how short a trip. There’s just something fun about singing along with our favorite musicians at the top of our lungs. Perhaps the best scene dedicated to singing in the car with your friends was conceived by Penelope Spheeris who gave us the iconic and amazing documentaries The Decline of Western Civilization that took an in depth and personal look at the punk rock scene. If you haven’t seen these films, I highly suggest you do immediately.

Hi everyone, Bryan here…

Halloween-main

We’ve talked about a ‘Halloween‘ remake before here. Hell, Rob Zombie even made two remakes of ‘Halloween‘, which really didn’t live up to anything that resembled a horror film. But that was long ago and we like to forget such films ever took place. The original horror master and filmmaker John Carpenter, who made the original film is putting together a reincarnation of his own film and just announced that Danny McBride and David Gordon Green will be writing and directing the new film. As you probably already know, McBride and Green have a long lasting relationship, as they both worked on ‘Pineapple Express’, ‘Eastbound and Down’, and the recent ‘Vice Principals’.

Hey guys, Jana here,

chris-farley-sketch

‘I Am Chris Farley’ does what the title implies and gives a narrative on the life of the incomparable funny man that took his leave from life far too early. Virgil Films has set a July 27 limited debut in Chicago where the Wisconsin native burst onto the comedic front with the renowned Second City Theater. July 31 is the overall theatrical release date for New York and Los Angeles audiences with an August 10 televised premiere on Spike TV, followed by VOD the next day.

Hello, Jana here,

jay-roach-premiere-the-campaign-02

If you’re looking for a successful name in the industry, look no further than Jay Roach. He began his directing career in 1990 and has been a top name for comedy since then. He is the man responsible for the three ‘Austin Powers‘ films, ‘Meet the Parents‘ and my favorite, ‘Meet the Fockers‘. In 2008 Roach began a working relationship with HBO with the movie ‘Recount‘, the film got into the details of the aftermath of the 2000 U.S. presidential election between Al Gore and George W. Bush, which led to Roach winning two Emmy’s and resulted in another Emmy-winning HBO movie, ‘Game Change‘. Roach may have moved away from the election debacle, but a new partner of his is still rather close to it.

‘The Addams Family Re-Cast!!

by Gumbercules9000 on Mar 4th, 2014

Hi, Bryan Here…

the-addams-family

Here is our fourth Re-Cast of the year, where if you are unfamiliar with our famous Re-Casts, we take an older film or tv show and re-cast it if it were remade today. And this week, we have chosen the iconic film ‘The Addams Family‘ to re-cast. There were no stipulations this time around, so if someone wanted to cast Nicolas Cage for every role, they could.. But after we finished the casting session, and finished our picks, I definitely want to see this movie. Of course, it’s always difficult to replace the original cast, but in this day and age of remakes, anythig is possible, so this is who we think would do best in these roles. This was a lot of fun. We will be posting some images of our re-cast for you to see in full on our FACEBOOK page, which you should visit to catch up on all the latest information. And don’t forget to visit iTunes and subscribe to our podcast. Enjoy the show.

Hi, Bryan Here…

Dimension Films continues its acquisitions streak with the pick up of the road-trip comedy WILD OATS featuring a talented cast including Academy Award® winner Shirley MacLaine, Academy Award® nominee Jacki Weaver and Academy Award® winner Alan Arkin . The film is directed by Howard Deutch who helmed the classics PRETTY IN PINK and SOME KIND OF WONDERFUL, and recently worked at HBO directing shows such as BIG LOVE and HUNG. Claudia Myers and Gary Kanew penned the script which has been described as a spunky comedy that is a cross between SIDEWAYS and THELMA AND LOUISE.

Bryan Reviews ‘The Ides of March’!!! (A Movie Review)

by Gumbercules9000 on Oct 7th, 2011

Hi Bryan Here….

‘Ides of March’ is one magnificent political drama.  George Clooney directs an all-star cast in this film based on the play ‘Farragut North’ by Beau Willimon.  Clooney also co-wrote the screenplay as well as starred in the film alongside Ryan Gosling, Philip Seymour Hoffman, Paul Giamatti, Evan Rachel Wood, and Marisa Tomei.  This film is perfectly crafted and just left a very unsettling feeling in the pit of my stomach, but in a good way.  The dialogue is some of the best of the year and the acting has gold stars all around.  I wonder if Willimon and Clooney got ideas for this story from real life events.  If that is so, then HOLY SHIT.  That is hardcore.  ‘Ides of March’ might be the best political drama in the past decade.  A must see.  And perfect timing with the upcoming election.  Go see this film.  I loved every single insane and disturbing bit of it.
