‘Leatherface’ is ripping up the Blu-ray World!

by Gumbercules9000 on Nov 7th, 2017

The Texas Chainsaw Massacre‘ is perhaps one of the most terrifying and best horror films to ever be released. That was back in 1974. Tobe Hooper and that film really paved the way for many filmmakers and the horror genre over the years that continues to this day. We’ve seen sequels, prequels, reboots, remakes, and everything in between since then. The newest film is simply called ‘Leatherface‘, which takes its cue from the original ‘Texas Chainsaw Massacre 3‘ film. I haven’t seen this yet, but I’ve heard from a few people that it’s the best film since the original one in 1974. I’m not sure what to think about that, but I’ll have answers shortly for you on this. ‘Leatherface‘ acts as a prequel to other films as we get to see how ‘Leatherface‘ became the maniacal being he is known to be.

Deacon Frost, Homer Van Meter, Stavros and even Jimmy Meltrigger – you know the kid from that episode of ‘Roseanne‘ where Becky farted in school? Hi everyone, Bryan Here…

The Multi-Media Men are back with the 47th episode that covers all things in the entertainment industry. We had a great adventure this time around and had tons to discuss. It was a small week this week with Susan Kamyab from This Chix Flix , Adam Conway from Angelika Film Center, Gadi Elkon from Selig Film News, and Andrew Conway. It was a lot of fun to say the least. We discussed our Halloween events and parties, cartoon characters we would kill and have sex with, Christian Bale, Steve Jobs, Channing Tatum, Michael Bay, a new ‘Leatherface‘ film, and some MUST-SEE movies for the last two months of 2014. It was great fun. Let us know if you agree or missed anything. And please let us know what you think by going to our FACEBOOK page and TWITTER page, which you should visit to catch up on all the latest information. Hi everyone, Bryan here….

The Texas Chainsaw Massacre‘ came out in 1974 and became one of the scariest and most inspired film ever made. It paved the way for so many filmmakers down the road, that we’ve seen elements in almost every horror film since then. Filmmaker Tobe Hooper was cemented into the horror cinema favorites back then. In the 1980s, he made a sequel, which was tonally and visually different, but was still met with great praise and like its predecessor, became an instant cult classic. From then, there have been a string of sequels, remakes, and prequels, all of which have received mostly poor critical acclaim. Nobody seems to be doing anything right with this franchise.

Film Review: ‘Carnage Park’!

by Gumbercules9000 on Jun 27th, 2016

Joel H., Here…

carnage-park

Alright, folks. Today, we’re going to brew up a little horror/thriller action. Let’s take a little Leatherface, mostly his hobbies and the essence of a sewing fetish. Add in quite a few heavy doses of The Hills Have Eyes – you know, the whole booby trap (THAT’S WHAT I SAY!) bit? For the final part of the mix, we’re going to sample a little bit of Mick from Wolf Creek lore. Pour it into a bowl once churned together, and we have ourselves a nice little Carnage Park.

THE FILM

The original ‘Texas Chainsaw Massacre‘ is one of the best horror films of all time. It still holds that title to this day. One thing most people don’t realize though is that the original film was made in such a way to evoke terror and horror, that it was filmed in such a manner as to show almost not gore, blood, or violence. It was all left off-screen for the most part. In return, this was a low-budget independent horror film that was fast-paced, horrific, and wildly entertaining, if not scary-as-hell. It truly is one of the perfect horror movies. some twelve years later, the original director Tobe Hooper came back and directed a sequel titled ‘The Texas Chainsaw Massacre II‘.

The New ‘Texas Chainsaw 3D’ Poster Needs Work!!!

by Gumbercules9000 on Oct 12th, 2012

Hi, Bryan Here….

So here is yet another poster for the upcoming ‘Texas Chainsaw Massacre’ reboot.  Yes, that’s right, another reboot of the franchise.  This time it is just called ‘Texas Chainsaw 3D’.  That makes this the 3rd reboot of the film and either the 7th or 8th film total about the crazy family and Leatherface in Texas.  So, while Leatherface looks really fucking cool here, he is missing one key ingredient.  His fucking chainsaw!  Come on people, that’s like making a ‘Nightmare on Elm Street’ poster with Freddy on the front, but he does not have his signature finger knife glove.  I think the previous poster, which can be seen HERE, is better.  I can only hope for the best.
