Ever wish there was a movie that didn’t involve zombies, drug cartels, robots, or superheroes facing off in a post-apocalyptic end-of-world scenario? It seems more often than not these days, that those types of films are taking up all of the theaters at your local movie theater. Luckily, every once in a while, we get something different, kind, and magical. Film Review #2: ‘Kong: Skull Island’!

by Gumbercules9000 on Mar 12th, 2017

Dan M., here….

dims

Bad news. Kong: Skull Island isn’t a good movie, but it isn’t a bad one either. It exists in that awful “shrug” territory “Why?” or “I guess that works.”

Lets break it down!

Film Review: ‘Kong: Skull Island’!

by Gumbercules9000 on Mar 8th, 2017

Hi everyone, Bryan here….

Kong-Skull-Island-Final-Official-Trailer-6

We’ve seen a ton of versions of ‘King Kong‘ over the decades from the 1933 version to the Jeff Bridges version in the 1970s, and even more recently, the 2005 version that was directed by ‘Lord of the Rings‘ director Peter Jackson. ‘King Kong‘ has been a staple in entertainment and pop culture since he debuted in the early 30s and he is showing no signs of stopping, thanks to Warner Bros. and Legendary Pictures who are taking their cues from Marvel and creating their own universe called the ‘MonsterVerse‘.

Hey guys, Jana here,

There are two things Martin Scorsese knows a lot about, one of them is making movies and the other is making mob movies. The companies are sending up their white flags with Netflix standing on the pile of broken bodies, the victor.

Hey guys, Jana here,

jay-and-mark-duplass

HBO has welcomed Jay and Mark Duplass into their fold with ‘Room 104‘, a comedy anthology series. The Duplasses were behind the short-lived 2 season run of ‘Togetherness‘ for the cabler. ‘Room 104‘ centers on the assorted characters that occupy your average, run-of-the-mill American hotel. We’re going to get to know room 104 intimately as that room is the focus of the project and the occupants that pass through that room each week.

Film Review: ‘Zoolander 2’!

by Gumbercules9000 on Feb 10th, 2016

Hi everyone, Bryan Here….

zoolander

It’s been fifteen years since we saw Derek Zoolander perform on stage in the world of male fashion modeling. That first film, directed by Ben Stiller himself was a brilliant and hilarious satire on the fashion modeling world with a little bit of action and silliness packed in at every corner. ‘Zoolander‘ and many of its characters became instant cult icons. Even many lines of dialogue are still quoted today in everyday life from the first film. Stiller himself has said he’s wanted to do a sequel for the past several years now, but nothing has come together, but one script made it through and everyone signed back on for ‘Zoolander 2‘.

Enjoy the Trailer For ‘Zoolander 2’!!!

by Red Zeppelbon on Nov 18th, 2015

Hey guys, Jana here,

zoolander-2-475x357

Hopefully you’ve been practicing your best moves for the catwalk from ‘Zoolander‘ because the time to use them is now! They better be ready, I mean you’ve only had 15 fucking years to get them top notch, but be careful with “Blue Steel”, that’s the one bringing all the beautiful people down. Lucky for all of us, I am best described as potatoey, potatoish, potato-like? which is why I can tell you about the fast-approaching sequel to the greatest farce the fashion industry has endured, yeah, I’m including Lady Gaga’s meat dress in that list.
