The upcoming 11th edition of the Dallas International Film Festival, or DIFF, opens March 30 and runs through April 9 for 2017. The festival will celebrate the year of 1967 with a salute to films from that year and we’ve got the full schedule here.

Streep + Hanks + Spielberg = ‘The Post’!

The first trailer and poster for the film ‘The Post‘ is standing straight up. It’s a big deal, because it has Tom Hanks and Meryl Streep in the lead roles with Steven Spielberg in the director’s chair. That’s a powerhouse right there. The film will release on December 22nd, just in time for the holidays, but really, they want to get it in for Oscar consideration. The film releases everywhere next year on January 12. In addition to Hanks and Streep, the film starsĀ Alison Brie, Carrie Coon, David Cross, Bruce Greenwood, Tracy Letts, Bob Odenkirk, Sarah Paulson, Jesse Plemons, Matthew Rhys, Michael Stuhlbarg, Bradley Whitford, and Zach Woods.

Blu-ray Review: ‘Ginger Snaps’!!

I admit, I’m a suck for werewolf films. Ever since I was shown 1941’s ‘Wolf-Man‘ when I was very little by my dad, I knew that I would be hooked on werewolves for life. Then I watched Michael Jackson’sThriller‘ video and ‘An American Werewolf in London‘ soon after that, while all under the age of eight. Needless to say, these werewolf films have had a profound effect on me, and might be the igniting reason why I love the horror genre so much. When I was in college, I came across a film called ‘Ginger Snaps‘, which was only released in Canada at the time, and being a big movie buff, I had to get my hands on any film that wasn’t being released in the U.S. yet.
