Hey guys, Jana here,

39638_ppl

John Leguizamo is one of those guys that demands your attention when he’s on screen, it may be in an utterly ridiculous capacity, he could be the bad guy and even if he’s the all-around good guy he’s going to throw some depth of character in there that will make your eye gravitate to him. So it’s no wonder he’s got 9 projects going for 2015 alone in addition to a traveling comedy show.

The John Wick Comic Book is Almost Here!

by Gumbercules9000 on Jun 20th, 2017

Hi  everyone, Bryan here….

JohnWick01-Cov-B-Cowan

We already knew that the comic book publisher Dynamite Entertainment had already worked a deal to bring the story of John Wick into the comic book world, but now we have a release date, writers, artists, and even some info on the story. John Wick is one of the best action films of recent memory. It spawned a recent sequel with both films making a ton of money and much critical praise. Not only does John Wick have spectacular stunt work and one hell of a story that follows a former assassin out to kill the people he once worked for, but this mysterious world John Wick is in has been living in is one that we’ve gotten glimpses of in the past two films, leaving us wanting more. This comic book will explore that world in more detail, which means more information on assassins, the hotels, and people who handle their business. I can’t wait.

Hey guys, Jana here,

IMDB describes this film as “The continuing adventures of former hitman, John Wick.” I have a feeling that will be changing after seeing this trailer. If you’re anything like me, I’ve been waiting for this clip for as long as I’ve known they were creating a sequel. Keanu can kick ass and I love nothing more than to see that. The first official trailer for the film shows us just how much of a bad-ass Mr. Reeves is, as he’s got a contract on his head.

‘John Wick: Chapter 2’ Has a Trailer!

by Gumbercules9000 on Oct 8th, 2016

Hi everyone, Bryan here…

john-wick-2-poster

I’m just so excited that we are getting a sequel to the AMAZING action film from 2014 ‘John Wick‘. This time, the title is Chapter 2 and has Keanu Reeves taking out the bad guys yet again. Chad Stahelski has come back to direct, but left his other directing partner behind this time, where most of the action takes place in Rome in this sequel. We were promised bigger and better (if that were a possibility since the first film was perfect), and judging by this trailer, every delivered on a big level.

Fernando’s Film Review of ‘John Wick’!!

by Gumbercules9000 on Oct 23rd, 2014

Fernando M., Here….

John-Wick-Movie (11)

Remember all those times you made fun of Keanu Reeves?  Well get ready to eat your words you nonbelievers!  Reeves is fixin to show you what pain is for 90 minutes of gun shooting neck breaking knife stabbing throat crunching action! The plot is as timeless a tale as our childhood stories of yesteryear.  Who doesn’t remember that lovable parable about the old retired hitman who gets wronged by the Russian mob….oh….well anyways, that’s the plot.  It is an incredibly simple setup for a fantastic revenge story.

Hi everyone, Bryan here….

Blumhouse and Todd McFarlane have announced today at San Diego Comic-Con that the creator/artist of the Spawn comic books will step into the director’s chair and make a Spawn movie. It’s not exactly news that there was going to be another Spawn film, but now we know the great production company Blumhouse (The Conjuring) is behind it with McFarlane himself stepping up to direct, which fairly rare.

Blu-ray Review: ‘The Infiltrator’!

by Gumbercules9000 on Nov 27th, 2016

Hi everyone, Bryan here…

THE FILM

We’ve seen quite a few movies and even TV shows that cover the Pablo Escobar story and his drug cartel over the years. Some have been great where others missed the mark. Here with ‘The Infiltrator‘, you never really see Pablo Escobar, but only in passing as the story follows real-life US agent Robert Mazur or as his undercover name Bob Musella, played by Bryan Cranston, who is no stranger to the drug business (Breaking Bad). Robert Mazur went deep undercover to unlock and take down Pablo Escobar’s drug business, along with his right hand men.

Here’s the Top 10 Music Films!

by Gumbercules9000 on Jul 7th, 2016

Jonathan A., here…

curry

Ah, the timeless combination of film and music. The two have been married since the earliest days of film, all the way back to Don Juan in 1926, which starred the uber-hunky mustachioed John Barrymore and was the first film to include a synchronized musical score.  In fact, the first “talkie” film was 1927’s “The Jazz Singer,” which included a number of quaint musical performances and even a truly and horrifically inappropriate blackface sequence.  However, today we aren’t just here to discuss soundtracks, but rather to shine a spotlight on the movies where music is a main (if not THE main) theme throughout the film.

Hey guys, Jana here,

maxresdefault (1)

A U.S. Customs official uncovers a money laundering scheme involving Colombian drug lord Pablo Escobar. It’s an incredibly short description of ‘The Infiltrator‘, but the trailer shows just how much is packed into that little sentence. You want guns? Got it. Drugs? Check. Bravery, guts and a truckload of cajones? Double check.

Behold: ‘The Infiltrator’ Trailer is HERE!

by Gumbercules9000 on Apr 20th, 2016

Hi everyone, Bryan Here…

TI_DAY010_LD_208

There is this movie coming out with Walter White…I mean Bryan Cranston who plays the real life Federal Agent Robert Mazur, who goes deep undercover into Pablo Escobar’s drug empire. There is one hell of a cast too that co-stars with Bryan Cranston too, and I bet this will earn Cranston yet another award, along with a few other people here. The trailer looks amazing, and I can’t wait for ‘The Infiltrator‘ to come out on July 15th.

William H. Macy has proven he is a success in the acting world, but it’s his directing muscle that he’s working on in the upcoming project, ‘Krystal‘, and he’s not taking it on alone. This is not Macy’s first time in the director’s seat with having ‘The Layover‘ and ‘Rudderless‘, as well as an episode of ‘Shameless‘ under his belt.

Film Review: ‘American Ultra’!

by Gumbercules9000 on Aug 19th, 2015

Hi everyone, Bryan Here…

american-ultra-jesse-eisenberg-600x414

This late summer movie ‘American Ultra‘ mixes a good stoner comedy with high octane action with a great cast and some decent laughs throughout. You can add to that a good amount of bloody violence in the second half of things. That all being said, ‘American Ultra‘ seems to lose its steam far from the climax of the movie, and seems to just go through the motions until the end. Still, it’s a fun popcorn film to end the summer on. Director Nima Nourizadeh, whose only previous film was the found footage party movie, ‘Project X‘, leaves the handheld camera on the table here, and delivers some decent long shots of violence and action, which is a step up in his career.
