Hi everyone, Bryan Here….

john-belushi-animal-house

Showtime is getting into the Belushi business finally. Sure, there are a couple of biopics that are in the works for John Belushi, but this is an official feature length documentary about the iconic actor. Showtime has brought on filmmakers R.J.Cutler and John Battsek to make the documentary. Their resume includes ‘Searching for Sugar Man‘ and ‘The September Issue‘, so not exactly lightweights here.

Hi, Jana here,

celeb-sibling---John-Belushi

Normally when I hear John Belushi’s name, I smile as I remember Jake Blues from ‘The Blues Brothers‘ ordering four fried chickens with a Coke, or his turn as John Blutarsky in ‘Animal House‘ as he incites a food fight. One thing I didn’t expect to hear in association with his name is that he is the subject of an upcoming biopic.

Hi, Bryan Here…..

It’s confirmed. Emile Hirsch has been cast as John Belushi in the untitled biopic from Steve Conrad.  This is HUGE news. I would have never guessed this in a million years. I guess Emile is going to put on some weight, but I do think he is an amazing actor, and can pull this off. Conrad wrote the script as well.

Blu-ray Review: The Incident!

by Gumbercules9000 on Mar 5th, 2018

THE FILM

I’m sure most of you haven’t heard of a little film called ‘The Incident‘, which isn’t exactly a great title, but is one hell of a ride from start to finish. Released back in 1967, I’m sure this film did to subway passengers as ‘JAWS‘ did to swimmers in any body of water, which was scare the hell out of them. ‘The Incident‘ follows a group of strangers on a late night subway car, who are all headed to their destinations, but are all terrorized by a couple of criminals over the course of the film.

by Red Zeppelbon on Aug 31st, 2015

Hey guys, Jana here,

PicMonkey Collage

When someone in the entertainment industry dies, especially suddenly, everyone reacts differently to the news. Some people just regard it as a bit of news for the day and go on entirely unphased. Then there’s another response some can have, it’s a personal, visceral one, at that. I fall into the latter category.

Film Review: ‘Whiplash’!!

by Gumbercules9000 on Oct 22nd, 2014

Hi everyone, Bryan Here….

whiplash_h_1014

Big sacrifices and the desire to be the best in the world with your skill and art form is both questioned and put to the test in writer/director Damien Chazelle’s phenomenal jazz-infused film ‘Whiplash‘. This movie is focused on jazz music, but closes in on what one individual will go through to be the best in the world with the difficult question being, “Is it worth it?”
