Hey guys, Jana here,

Battle_Angel_Alita_inside_english

James Cameron loves his heroes and he apparently loves manga, who knew?! Well we’re all finding that out today, and one of Cameron’s pet projects that he’s held rights to since at least 2012 is ‘Alita: Battle Angel‘.

Hi, Jana here,

another-avatar

I’ve taken a brief hiatus, but I’m back with some big news! We all know that James Cameron likes to make movies that have a universal appeal. That’s basically a nice way of saying he makes money-makers. If something makes Cameron money, he goes back to that well until it’s bone-dry. If he could have come up with a logical way to bring Jack and Rose back together for a ‘Titanic‘ sequel, he’d have done it. History got in the way of that one, though.

Hello, Jana here,

james-cameron-returns-mariana-trench_50423_600x450

James Cameron has made absolutely no attempt to hide the fact that he’s deeply inquisitive about the deepest points of the ocean. Anyone that watched ‘Titanic‘ could tell that it was more than a story about a 2-day love. It was an undying love letter to the ocean that Cameron loves so deeply.

Hi, Bryan Here….

James-Cameron-directing-Avatar

James Cameron has confirmed that he will begin work in 2017 on a new project titled ‘Battle Angel‘, a project he has wanted and talked about doing for some time now. But after his huge box office success with ‘Avatar‘, which has brought over $2.8 billion for 20th Century Fox, Cameron is set to do two more ‘Avatar‘ movies. And why shouldn’t he? He is being given an unlimited amount of time and creative control on everything.

James Cameron Wants to Make 4 ‘Avatar’ Films!!!

by Gumbercules9000 on May 7th, 2012

Hi, Bryan Here….

I guess we won’t be getting that sequel to ‘True Lies’ anytime soon, because James Cameron will only be making ‘Avatar’ films.  He doesn’t even want to produce any other films.  He just wants to make and possibly live in the world of ‘Avatar’.  The New York Times did an interview with Cameron over the weekend, and  he had confirmed that he was going to make at least three more ‘Avatar’ films.

Hi, Bryan Here….

Director James Cameron recently spoke with the good folks at GuardianUK and mentioned that he wants to make the sequel to Ridley Scott’s ‘Prometheus’.  Let’s not forget that Ridley Scott directed the first ‘Alien’ film while James Cameron followed that up with his sequel ‘Aliens’.  It’s only fitting that the two directors would direct the prequels one after the other.

by Gumbercules9000 on Mar 25th, 2012

Hi, Bryan Here….

Hi, Bryan Here….

We can’t keep James Cameron out of the water can we?  Cameron plans to reach the world’s deepest underwater surface which is almost seen miles down.  The dive will take place at the Mariana Trench in the western Pacific Ocean with a unique submersible vehicle and camera.  This is scheduled to take place in the coming weeks and will be a joint venture with James Cameron and National Geographic. This project is to “conduct deep-ocean research and exploration to expand our knowledge and understanding of these largely unknown parts of the planet.”  Sounds really cool.  Maybe we fill ‘Atlantis’.

James Cameron talks AVATAR Sequels….

by Gumbercules9000 on Oct 20th, 2010

At a recent press conference to promote the upcoming release of the extended version of AVATAR, James Cameron talked about his plans for the future films of the AVATAR universe.

Basically, Cameron told the press that he has plans to shoot two more AVATAR sequels back to back.  They will also be released in theaters a year a part from each other.  Sort of like how Lord of the Rings did their releases.

He did not say when this will happen, but he did say he will not take on any new projects during the filming and releases of the two AVATAR sequels.

However, he did state he was looking into filming the big budget remake of Cleopatra with Angelina Jolie, but nothing is set in stone as of yet.

Before James Cameron dives in heavy into the sequel for Avatar, he will be heading to Brazil again to make a documentary in 3-D no less about the indigenous tribes of the Amazon who strongly oppose the construction of a dam that will put their land at risk from flooding.  This sounds a lot like the film “The Emerald Forest” which was a great movie or of course “Avatar”.

Cameron said, “I want to return to meet some of the leaders of the Xikrin-Kayapo tribe who invited me. I want to take a 3D camera to film how they live, their culture.”

We will get to see a peak at this documentary on the upcoming “Avatar” special edition dvd and blu-ray.

I don’t really know why this documentary would want to be in 3-D.  What’s the point?  Will I want to pay the extra money to see it in 3-D?  Probably not.  Cameron’s Titanic documentary was badass though and if this documentary is anything like that, then I will be there to see it.

Hey guys, Jana here,

leonardo-dicaprio-inline-zoom-e780bd67-8bfe-4cb1-a724-88c8403b9bba

I am a Leonardo DiCaprio fan. I’ve never hidden it, but I am. I wasn’t in love with him and his boyish good looks like other girls my age were, I recognized him from ‘Growing Pains‘, after all. He didn’t begin his career as absolutely gorgeous, that developed over time. I had to learn to love his work for what it was. Saying that, Leo’s been overlooked for that naked, golden, guy many times before he finally won his first Oscar at last night’s award show.
