A look at the personal and professional lives of a group of women who perform for a wrestling organization in Los Angeles. The series ought to do pretty well considering it’s linked to Jenji Kohan, creator of some pretty magnificent titles, such as ‘Weeds‘ and another Netflix original ‘Orange is the New Black‘.

NBC’s ‘State of Affairs’ Loses Showrunner!!!

by Red Zeppelbon on Aug 15th, 2014

Hey guys, Jana here,

state-of-affairs-keyart-promo

When I saw the headline that Ed Bernero had stepped down as showrunner for the Katherine Heigl vehicle ‘State of Affairs‘ on NBC, I originally thought, brashly, the blame was to place on Heigl, who is notoriously difficult to work with.

Turns out Heigl had nothing to do with the clashes on set. It was mainly disagreements with creative matters between Bernero and creator/executive producer Joe Carnahan. Bernero was brought on to help steer the thriller set in Washington, D.C.  That features Heigl as A CIA officer plucked from the field to become the president’s daily briefer, assuming responsibility for targeting America’s most critical threats while navigating the unique lifestyle that comes with such a high-powered job. All the while, she is investigating the circumstances regarding the death of her fiancé. Alfre Woodard is featured as President Payton.

Jana B., Here….

Finally. I’m surprised it’s taken this long for there to be a spoof made from ‘The Fast and Furious‘.  The writer-director team of Aaron Seltzer and Jason Friedberg who have both brought us’Vampires Suck‘, (as if ‘Twilight‘ didn’t already show us that), and ‘Meet The Spartans‘. Personally, they ought to be grateful King Leonidas isn’t around to kick their arses all over the place for that one, but I digress. They’re sticking to the method they know best by filling the roles in ‘Superfast‘ with up-and-comers.

2012 Emmy Award Winners!!!

by Gumbercules9000 on Sep 24th, 2012

Hi, Bryan Here….

Below is the list of the winners for the 2012 Prime-Time Emmy Award Winners.  I don’t  see how ‘Modern Family’ and ‘Two and Half Men’ win anything.  They shouldn’t win any kind of award when they go up against shows like ‘Mad Men’, ‘Game of Thrones’, and ‘Breaking Bad’.  The Emmy judges need to be fired and never allowed to pick winners ever again.  However, much congratulations to ‘Homeland’, ‘Downton Abbey’, Aaron Paul, ‘Veep’, and ‘American Horror Story’

Hey guys, Jana here,

So we’ve known for a while that there is going to be a re-make of the Marvel superhero ‘Daredevil‘. We know that Marvel has partnered with Netflix to bring us a 13-episode drama based on the comic book stories of the blind, lawyer from Hell’s Kitchen.

We’ve known for a while that Charlie Cox (‘Boardwalk Empire‘) is going to play the eponymous Matt Murdock/Daredevil, and that Vincent D’Onofrio (‘Law and Order‘)  is going to play the juxtapositional Wilson Fisk, aka Kingpin. Today, we’ve gotten some more casting news. Deborah Ann Woll, Jessica from ‘True Blood‘ has been given the role of Karen Page.
