George Lucas Did Something Funny!!!

by Gumbercules9000 on May 15th, 2012

Hi, Bryan Here…..

Now, most of  you who know me or read this site, already have figured out that I’m not too keen on George Lucas.  While I might like his original version of Star Wars (the unaltered versions) and not the prequels, Lucas has garnered an awful reputation for hating his fans on every level.  Well, normally I post movie news and reviews mostly on this site, but when I came across this story, it was too good to not share it with you.  Yes.  George Lucas did something funny.

Hi, Bryan Here….

George Lucas has had a change of heart and has decided to give his fans what they’ve been asking him to do for many years.  He will be releasing the ultimate Star Wars set on Blu-ray.  This time, the original theatrical releases. There will also be a limited edition Sith and Jedi edition that comes with its own lightsaber.

Reason # 1042 Why George Lucas Is A Boob!!!

by Gumbercules9000 on Feb 13th, 2012

Hi Bryan Here…..

It might be to hype up the 3D release of one of the worst films ever made, or may be the anger of an old man finally getting back at his fans.  But I’d like to think once upon a time, George Lucas liked making movies.  Sadly that hasn’t been the case in over 20 years.  Lucas recently said he was done with making big blockbuster movies.  He said, “Why would I make any more when everybody yells at you all the time and says what a terrible person you are?”  Now he has gone the way of the internet in trying to get a rise out of his most rabid of fans.

George Lucas Rapes My Childhood Yet Again!!!

by Gumbercules9000 on Aug 30th, 2011

Hi Bryan Here….

So yes.  George Lucas is raping my childhood again as we speak.  He likes doing it.  He gets pleasure in ruining his once long ago master pieces which have turned into mostly garbage.  So not only are we getting the special editions of Star Wars on bluray, but it seems like Lucas is changing things yet again to make this dying franchise worse and worse.  I’ll eat my words if he ever releases the original films on blu-ray, but sad to say folks, i doubt that is going to happen any time soon.  So I have two clips from the new Star Wars Blu-Rays where Lucas has changed a few things.  So just watch them below and feel the rape.

Hi Bryan Here…

I came across this article posted at the TORONTO SUN and it was too great to not tell you about.  Basically, actor/writer Seth Rogen talked with George Lucas and Steven Spielberg the other day for about 30 minutes and George Lucas laid into Seth Rogen about how he thinks and knows the world will end in 2012.

Hi Bryan Here…

Sorry for the lack of updates recently.  Been a busy hectic holiday season so far.  But rest assured, tons of content will be unloaded over the next few days, plus some most excellent contests on the site where you can win prizes.  So stay tuned.  Any who, some very weird news came over the wire the other day.  It seems that George Lucas wants to make a film involving dead movie stars.

Hey guys, Jana here,

lmna-la-02-h_2016

George Lucas made his choice in location for the Lucas Museum of Narrative Art that is eyeing a May 4, 2020 opening date. The man responsible for the ‘Star Wars‘ franchise has chosen a location in L.A. over another proposed location in San Francisco. The seed that is being planted with the museum are many of Lucas’s own pieces from his personal collection that will surely be, an awe-inspiring collection of art that will draw you in with a story that each piece will tell.

Hey guys, Jana here,

Lucas-Till

The ‘MacGyver‘ series reboot is getting off the ground and they’ve locked in the actor who will play the titular character in ‘X-Men: Apocalypse’s Lucas Till. CBS is taking the 1985 series and updating the project by 30 years. We can expect the same ingenious response to solving problems with a few more current gadgets, but I bet nothing will take the place of a trusty Swiss Army knife.

Hi, Bryan Here….

original

Since Disney now has all the rights to George Lucas‘ work under Lucas pictures, which includes the epic ‘Star Wars‘ franchise, they are fast tracking tons of ‘Star Wars‘ projects for future releases.  We all know that J.J. Abrams will be directing Episode VII and actually has Mark Hamill, Harrison Ford, and Carrie Fisher returning to reprise their roles for the sequels.  Even better news, Disney is finally listening to the fans, something Lucas never did, and are finally releasing the original trilogy on blu-ray in their original and unaltered versions as they were seen over 30 years ago.

Bohemian Rhapsody

Imagine if someone made a Beatles movie but Ringo was the one who had the final say in every plot point? That’s what you get here. Surviving band members doing everything they can to make sure you recognize it wasn’t just Freddie Mercury in Queen. Guess what? We know that bu we don’t care.

Hi everyone, Bryan here….

A week or two ago, there was a disturbance in the force as Kathleen Kennedy, LucasFilm, and Disney fired their Star Wars IX director Colin Trevorrow. You can read about that HERE. Turns out, the studio execs couldn’t handle having a big creative force behind Star Wars. The search was on for another director. Were they gonna go with another indie filmmaker with good credentials or play it safe like they did when they replaced Miller and Lord with the capable Ron Howard?

Ron Howard Shoots Second on Star Wars Han Solo Film!

by Gumbercules9000 on Jun 22nd, 2017

Hi everyone, Bryan here….

960

It’s official now. Ron Howard has taken over directing duties on the upcoming Star Wars untitled Han Solo spinoff movie. Yesterday, we got the unfortunate news that Phil Lord and Chris Miller were fired after creative differences with the studio heads, mainly Kathleen Kennedy and Lawrence Kasdan on the tone of the film. Lord and Miller (The LEGO Movie, 21 Jump Street) spent almost five months making this Han Solo film, but again, were fired for having a different style than what the studio was expecting. It sent fans in an uproar for sure and for good reason. It’s ultra rare that studios will fire directors this late in the game.

Soundtracks we want to see released on Vinyl!

by Gumbercules9000 on Jun 15th, 2017

Hi everyone, Bryan here…

preview

I just love soundtracks to movies. I always have and I believe I always will. There is something about a score to a film that just perks me up in all the right ways and inspires my creative side, whether it be to write a screenplay or go back an watch that old film I love. Music is an integral part to films and is considered to be the mojo of every movie. I’m sure we’ve all seen that odd YouTube video of the final scene in Star Wars: A New Hope, where Han Solo, Luke Skywalker, and Chewbacca walk down a crowded arena to receive their medals to zero music. It’s super weird and awkward with no music, but just random sound effects of footsteps and a rare cough, laugh, and Chewie’s roar. John Williams did such a great job, as he always does with Star Wars music, but that final scene of music really puts your emotions on full blast. It’s all from the soundtrack too.
