Hey guys, Jana here,

In a move that will surely have people claiming that Hollywood is trying to ruin their childhood, and why can’t they just leave it alone, along with my favorite – are there no original ideas anymore? Comes the announcement that Warner Bros. is revamping ‘Ocean’s Eleven‘ with ‘Ocean’s Ocho‘. Of course there’s a twist – the cast consists of women. If you’re claiming the George Clooney led ‘Ocean’s Eleven‘ from 2001 doesn’t deserve a reboot, just remember that film was a reboot of the ‘Ocean’s 11’ ensemble original from 1960. Frank Sinatra was Danny Ocean and was surrounded by his rat pack buddies. So go ahead, take a few minutes and get the whining out of your system, I can wait.

Matthew Michael Carnahan has written a few movies that have gone on to enjoy commercial success, among them the Brad Pitt thriller ‘World War Z‘, along with three other scripts in various stages of production would make you think he has enough on his plate at the moment, but he’s got time for another project. Carnahan is adapting Christopher McDougall’s best-selling book ‘Born To Run: A Hidden Tribe, Super Athletes, And The Greatest Race The World Has Never Seen‘ for feature modification and already has a superstar attached to star, Matthew McConaughey.

Hi Bryan Here….

I am just loving these musician documentaries.  The first half of the George Harrison doc has been amazing.  Looking forward to the second part tonight.  And now  Harry Belafonte is getting a documentary on his life and career.  Most of you might know Belafonte as the guy who sang ‘The Banana Boat Song’ which features the lyric “DAY-O”.  It was featured in the film ‘Beetle juice’.  I’m very excited for this doc as I am a huge fan of Belafonte.  I remember watching the making of Michael Jackson’s ‘We are the World’ music video and during the rehearsal, all of the singers and musicians just randomly started singing ‘The Banana Boat Song’ along with Harry Belafonte himself.  It was magical.
