Fox Bringing back King of the Hill?

by Gumbercules9000 on Aug 8th, 2017

Hi everyone, Bryan here….

Is Fox finally doing something right? They just might be. Over the past few years, the Fox network has been brining back older TV shows and reviving them with mostly the original cast. We saw it with ‘24‘, ‘X-Files‘, and ‘Prison Break‘, all of which were just on the side of being below average. Now it seems Fox is wanting to revive an actual good show for once with King of the Hill. The CEO of Fox has had talks with creator Mike Judge and Greg Daniels about bringing the show back for more seasons.

Film Review: ‘Whiskey Tango Foxtrot’!

by Gumbercules9000 on Mar 2nd, 2016

Beka P., Here…

cq5dam.web.1280.1280

If you love Tina Fey, you will love Whiskey Tango Foxtrot, but if you thought you were in for Sisters takes Afghanistan you are going to be sorely disappointed. Let me be clear, I really enjoyed this movie. I liked it on a lot of levels. However, one thing I really dislike is when movies are billed as one thing and then show up as something else. It’s kind of like online dating… no one likes it when someone unrecognizable shows up to dinner.

Hi everyone, Bryan Here…

lavernecox

We’ve known for a while now that Hollywood was trying to remake ‘The Rocky Horror Picture Show‘. We’ve seen various iterations on the cult icon film from ‘Glee‘ to ‘The Simpsons‘, and even recently, MTV and Fox is trying to put their spin on the classic musical. Fox’s version is gaining steam though as Laverne Cox (‘Orange is the New Black) has just been cast as Frank-N-Furter, which was originally played by Tim Curry in the original film and stage play.

Hey guys, Jana here,

The family friendly film, ‘A.R.C.H.I.E.‘ has just found the voice of their main character, the robotic dog named Archie, in the form of Michael J. Fox. Fox has got the perfect voice for a trusted friend and under-estimated hero as he proved with ‘Stuart Little‘, recently he closed the only season of ‘The Michael J. Fox‘ show when it wasn’t picked up for another season and has been a recurring character in ‘The Good Wife‘ which he will return to in the new season.

Hey guys, Jana here,

Steven Spielberg’sMinority Report‘ is a little more than 10 years old but the storyline is being expanded upon by Fox. The original film saw crime as a future event and were able to arrest the criminals responsible before they carried out the heinous crimes and the TV series is setting itself ten years after the end of Precrime in Washington, D.C. and one of the three Pre-Cogs is struggling to lead a normal life, but is always haunted by the never-ending visions of the future.

Hey guys, Jana here,

Grease_logo

As much as I’d love to trash another network for producing a live-musical for TV, I’m going to keep my disdain quiet, well not as loud as I’d normally voice my opinion, at least. Fox is entering the live-TV musical game with ‘Grease’. Yup, Danny, Sandy, Rizzo and the whole gang are going to be singing and dancing their musical butts off on live TV.

Hi everyone, Bryan Here…

wayward-pines-dissecting-wayward-pines-what-can-we-expect

Fox aired the trailer for their new upcoming show ‘Wayward Pines‘, which has an all-star cast, and looks mysterious and pretty frightening. This new series is produced by M. Knight Shyamalan (‘The Sixth Sense‘) and stars Matt Dillon as secret service agent Ethan Burke, who is looking into the deaths of two fellow-agents. He ends up in a strange town where everyone seems on edge and fake. Maybe that’s because the mysterious people who run the town, call people at random and force them to brutally murder fellow citizens. Sounds fun, right?

Hey guys, Jana here,

It’s official the bidding war for ‘Escape From New York‘ was heated, but Fox has won the day and their spoils are rights to remake 1981’s sci-fi actioner that saw a lot of big names saddle up for the ride. Of course, Kurt Russell was perfect as Snake Plissken, Lee Van Clyfe, Ernest Borgnine, Donald Pleasance, Isaac Hayes and Harry Dean Stanton are just among a few of the key players.

Fox Renews ‘Bob’s Burgers’ For A Sixth Season!!!

by Red Zeppelbon on Jan 8th, 2015

Hey guys, Jana here,

bobs-burgers (1)

Bob’s Burgers‘ is one of Fox’s animated series that hasn’t made as huge of a splash as counterparts ‘The Simpsons‘ or ‘Family Guy‘, but has still developed a loyal following, especially among Fox and 20th Century Fox TV big boys. It’s rare that a TV series makes it to a 6th season anymore, but to be an animated comedy making it to a 6th season is a huge milestone!

Fox Tells Us When Some of Their Big Films Are Coming Out!

by Gumbercules9000 on Jan 5th, 2015

Hi everyone, Bryan Here….

maxresdefault

Fox has announced some dates and even changed some dates for a few of their upcoming big budget films. It’s not too uncommon for studios to change dates and announce particular dates so far in advance, but with such big money makes, there has to be some sort of reason for the dates, considering over the next few years, Fox will have to compete with a hell of a lot of big movies from other studios.

Film Review: ‘Foxcatcher’!!

by Gumbercules9000 on Nov 25th, 2014

Hi everyone, Bryan Here…

Foxcatcher

Director Bennett Miller has chosen his four films wisely. Starting with ‘The Cruise‘ back in 1998, Miller has only three more films on his resume, including ‘Foxcatcher‘. The previous two were ‘Capote‘ was an Oscar winner as well as ‘Moneyball‘. Miller has an uncanny knack for telling compelling stories that are based on real life events and engaging the audience to not only be entertained, but to think and discuss these characters and sometimes real people’s motives in what they did in their particular story. You can add to that, Miller’s success in getting his actors to win Oscars almost across the board, and this very dark and creepy film ‘Foxcatcher‘ is no different.

Hey fanboys and girls, Jana here,

GOTHAM_CAROUSEL_DESKTOP_1400x386-carousel-1400x386

Everyone remember the hype surrounding the new prequel series ‘Gotham‘? We’ve been inundated with teasers, internet ads, and just in general talking about how awesome, or un-awesome (is that a word?) it’s going to be. I want to be hopeful, because I’m a huge fan of the bat. Love the world of Gotham City and it’s dark, iniquitous, sullen tones. I’ve always loved the Tim Burton version of the Batman films, don’t get me wrong, Nolan’s flicks were excellent in that they gave me the action I crave. But I like how the first set of movies make him a real character and not either just a 40-pack a day smoker in a cowl, or an asshole.

Fox has picked up ‘Superior‘, which is the limited series comic book written by Mark Millar (Wanted, X-Men: First Class, and Kick-Ass) and drawn by Leinil Francis Yu, who has basically drawn something for every comic you’ve ever heard of. This adaptation will be produced by Matthew Vaughn (Layer Cake, Kick-Ass).
