Hi everyone, Bryan Here…

Fight Club (1999) Edward Norton and Brad Pitt (Screengrab)

The Multi-Media Men are back with the 46th episode that covers all things in the entertainment industry. We had a great adventure this time around and had tons to discuss. Joining me is Adam Conway from the Angelika Film CenterSusan Kamyab from This Chix Flix, and Gadi Elkon from Selig Film News, and Andrew Conway . It was a lot of fun to say the least. We discuss what movie we want to see the porn version of, a custom game of ‘FUCK-MARRY-KILL’ , ‘The IT Crowd‘, Javier Bardem, ‘Breaking Bad‘, Steve Jobs, DC Comics, and a ‘Fight Club‘ Re-Cast, and the Elite 8 of our infamous HORROR MOVIE BRACKET. For our Horror Movie Bracket, we had professor Paul Nimon pair and seed it this time, to which blood was drawn between our podcasters on who should move to the next round. It got crazy. Let us know if you agree or missed anything. And please let us know what you think by going to our FACEBOOK page and TWITTER page, which you should visit to catch up on all the latest information. And don’t forget to visit iTunes and Stitcher to subscribe to our podcast. Enjoy the show.

There’s Gonna Be A ‘Fight Club’ Sequel!!!

by Gumbercules9000 on Jul 23rd, 2013

Hi, Bryan Here…

Tyler-fight-club-736832_1024_768

The first rule about ‘Fight Club‘ sequels is you don’t talk about ‘Fight Club‘ sequels. This past weekend at San Diego Comic Con, author Chuck Palahniuk signed copies of his upcoming novel titled ‘Doomed‘ as well as head a panel up where he answered many questions for his adoring fans. Well, one of those questions was geared toward what he is working on next.

Hi everyone, Bryan here….

batman-f4fc5109-b885-4cb9-b585-23d9a32fecbe

When Ben Affleck isn’t making the next Boston crime movie or saying “Yes” to a cameo role in Kevin Smith’s latest direct-to-video film, he’s reading comic books with Matt Damon and deciding on which next Hollywood starlet to take out for a steak dinner and never call again. The guy is a badass in every sense of the word. There’s nothing he can’t do. I’m just surprised he doesn’t have an EGOT yet. You can say a lot of things about Affleck, but you can’t say he doesn’t know when to say “no”. Affleck announced today that he will be stepping down from his role as director in the upcoming ‘Batman‘ film for Warner Bros., where he will indeed be playing Batman once again.

Short Film Review: ‘Iron Spyder’!

by Gumbercules9000 on Oct 11th, 2016

Justin Cline, here…

1-logline

With a running time of less than twelve minutes, Iron Spyder allows us all-too-brief entry into a world many of us are unlikely to visit in our lifetimes. Fight Club may have started the conversation about underground fisticuffs (though you were clearly told to keep it to yourself—twice), but Spyder explores where the idea has gone, incorporating sex, drugs, and money. Lots of money.

‘World War Z 2’ Might Be Moving Forward!!!

by Red Zeppelbon on Aug 10th, 2016

Hey guys, Jana here,

After some waffling back and forth, it looks like the sequel to ‘World War Z‘ is gaining some forward momentum right now and the current ray of hope is with a new director that’s circling the project. Director J.A. Bayona bowed out of the project but Brad Pitt is looking to David Fincher, who he previously worked with in ‘Seven‘ and ‘Fight Club‘ and ‘The Curious Case of Benjamin Button‘ to potentially launch a rescue of the project.

Hi everyone, Bryan Here….

static1.squarespace

July 31st can’t get here fast enough. Why? Well, the new prequel series ‘Wet Hot American Summer: First Day of Camp‘ starts that day with all episodes made available exclusively on Netflix. I can’t wait to head back to Camp Firewood. It’s been a long time and here is the first trailer, which is more of an advertisement for the camp itself, complete with a ‘Fight Club’ style “cigarette burn” flash of something steamy.

As original documentaries go, there are thousands of them covering any and all topics you could imagine and probably a lot that you wouldn’t want to imagine. If you’re in love with inanimate objects, partial to animals as bed-mates or you just want to check in with the oldest set of twins working as prostitutes. I know these things so you don’t have to. Shane Black Tackles ‘The Destroyer’ for Sony!!!

by Red Zeppelbon on Aug 21st, 2014

Hey guys, Jana here,

Shane-Black

Everyone has favorite directors or writers and Shane Black has been one of mine since I fell in love with his work in the late 80’s. The first character that took my breath away was Martin Riggs from ‘Lethal Weapon‘, he also wrote ‘The Monster Squad‘ and gave birth to the line that any true 80’s child will say when they hear that film name – “Wolfman’s got nards!”  That’s when I took note of Shane Black and thought he was an under-rated gem in the writing world. That was quickly followed up with ‘The Last Boyscout‘ and ‘Last Action Hero’ films that supported the original idea that Black was talented and the first films were NOT a fluke.  Black then proved his mettle as a director/writer with the snarky offering into the world of noir with ‘Kiss Kiss Bang Bang‘. This was Robert Downey Jr’s love song to Hollywood that signified the turning point of his career from troubled actor, to serious phenomenon ready to be taken seriously. Black gave him the direction and the words and RDJ slammed the ball out of the park. Black’s latest foray into directing came from ‘Iron Man 3‘ when he re-teamed with RDJ. He has 3 other projects in the wind at the moment with ‘The Nice Guys‘ a ‘Predator‘ reboot and ‘Doc Savage‘.

Hello, Jana here,

Karate_kid_ver2

If you’re the star of a movie that makes $343,000,000 worldwide with a budget of only $40,000,000, you would be safe in betting there is a sequel in your future. If you’re Jaden Smith and you’re one half of the doomed project ‘After Earth‘ and a studio is still willing to bank heavily on you, you thank your lucky stars and say “yes”.  If you can get millions of people to look past the fact that the film is called ‘The Karate Kid‘ and features NO Karate, only Kung-Fu, then audiences deserve way less credit than I give them.  Of course I’m talking about the box office hit and re-make, ‘The Karate Kid‘. The director, Harald Zwart, will not be responsible for this venture as it appears he is going to be tied up with another sequel, ‘The Mortal Instruments: City of Ashes‘. Instead, Breck Eisner is taking the reigns. Eisner most recently directed ‘The Crazies‘ that starred Timothy Olyphant and Joe Anderson.

Hi, Jana here,

stevejobs

Move over, Ashton Kutcher! He may have Mila Kunis, but he does not hold a monopoly on playing Steve Jobs.  Jobs was an American entrepreneur, marketer, and inventor, who was the co-founder, chairman, and CEO of Apple Inc. His name is interchangeable with other greats in the industry Bill Gates, Steve Wozniak and Tim Cook
