by Gumbercules9000 on Nov 22nd, 2011

Eli Roth (The Bear Jew and director of ‘Cabin Fever‘) has remade the 1974 violent revenge film ‘Death Wish‘. Instead of Charles Bronson, we now have Bruce Willis. This film was originally slated to release in theaters over the Thanksgiving holiday of last year, but the studio decided to push it now to March 2, 2018. The guy behind ‘Narc‘, ‘Smoking Aces‘, and ‘The Grey‘ (Joe Carnahan) has written the screenplay too. I’m sure this movie will be fun with some hardcore carnage and one-liners, or at least – let’s hope. Below is a ton of info about the film and of course the trailer.

The Death Wish Remake has a trailer!

by Gumbercules9000 on Aug 3rd, 2017

Hi everyone, Bryan here….

The Death Wish remake trailer is here and looks like a lot of fun. Based off of Brian Garfield’s novel and remade from a 1974 film that starred Charles Bronson, which led to a couple of sequels, this reboot of the ultra-violent movie franchise stars Bruce Willis in his most monotone acting role yet with Eli Roth (The Bear Jew) behind the camera and Joe Carnahan on screenplay. Vincent D’Onofrio, Elisabeth Shue, Camila Morrone, Dean Norris and Kimberly Elise also star in the film.

Favorite Movie Scene of the Day #14!

by Gumbercules9000 on Jul 18th, 2017

Hi everyone, Bryan here….

Since Ed Sheeran made a very quick cameo in this first episode of Season 7 of HBO’s Game of Thrones, a good friend of mine – Suzahhhnn, mentioned that the next Favorite Movie Scene of the Day should be one where a musician made a fun cameo in a movie. I thought it was a great idea and here we are. However, what movie to do, I thought. The obvious one would be Blues Brothers, but that will be saved for another time. As I was thinking and going through my movie collection, it almost instantly came to me, like a lightning bolt.

Taylor Reviews ‘Hope Springs’!!!

by Gumbercules9000 on Aug 8th, 2012

Taylor Here…

Marriage takes work.  Jobs, kids, houses, and ESPN have a way of creeping into happy relationships, replacing excitement and fun with crippling boredom.  People get in ruts, they stop paying attention to their partners’ needs, and their foundation begins to crack.  We’ve been told this story many times before, and while no new ground is broken, Hope Springs is a cute movie to which almost everyone in the audience can relate.
