New Episode Of ‘He-Man and the Masters of the Universe’ To Debut at SDCC!!!
Hey guys, Jana here,
Comic-Con is one of the most exciting times of the year! It’s right up there next to Christmas and Halloween as days worthy of a count-down. One of the reasons why the San Diego Comic-Con is such a fantastic event is that’s where we see brand new trailers, get updates on projects, see special video created ONLY for comic-con. The news today for SDCC is that He-Man is starring in a brand new episode of the hit series that’s been discontinued more than 30 years ago!!
Top 10 Moments in the Marvel Cinematic Universe Thus Far!
Black Panther is debuting very soon and in 3 short months, we will witness Infinity War on the big screen, which is the culmination of all 18 Marvel movies that came before it. I love the Marvel movies, at a minimum they get how to entertain and present their characters in the most appealing way possible. I’m sure that Black Panther will have an incredible moment or two and without a doubt the spectacle that Infinity War HAS to be will present us with some memorable scenes. Until then I figured I would share my 10 Favorite Moments from the MCU so far.

DC Announces its next movie will be Shazam!
Hi everyone, Bryan here….
The cat is out of the bag. The next big movie in the DC Cinematic Universe will be Shazam!, which is a story about a boy who transforms into the mightiest mortal on Earth. Filming should begin at the start of 2018 and will release the following year. They even have a director now, which is David F. Sandberg – a horror filmmaker. Sandberg made Lights Out and the upcoming Annabelle: Creation, according to THR. That’s pretty much it. Now he’s getting a big comic book franchise. It’s exciting for sure and judging by Lights Out, I’m sure he’s more than capable.

This Fan Made Film ‘The Laughing Man’ is Better than any other recent DC Movie!
Hi everyone, Bryan here…
A good friend sent me this short film by Diego and Julio Hallivis, who are brothers living in Los Angeles and making films. After a small amount of online research, it looks like these brothers have shot and produced their own short films for the past few years and were both production assistants on ‘Burn Notice‘, which means they worked with Bruce Campbell. Last week, they uploaded their new film called ‘The Laughing Man‘, which is about Harley Quinn and The Joker from the DC Comics Universe.

Blu-ray Review: ‘LEGO DC Comics Super Heroes: Justice League – Gotham City Breakout’
Hi everyone, Bryan here…
THE FILM
LEGO sure has the market on DC films for kids. This film as the past direct-to-video films have incorporated almost all of the DC heroes to satisfy all fans for all ages. Packed with some great voice-talent that is recognizable to fans, this 78-minute ‘Justice League‘ story is quite entertaining, despite the chaotic pace and silliness. The full title of this film is ‘LEGO DC Comics Super Heroes: Justice League – Gotham City Breakout‘ and has just about every DC superhero and villain showing up here, along with some new characters.

We periscoped the episode live as too, which was a lot of fun. Let us know your predictions for Wrestlemania 32.

4K UHD Review: ‘Justice League’!
THE FILM
(This film portion was written by Dan Moran)
There are several things about Justice League that are good. I think the cast is terrific. Gal Gadot, Ben Affleck, Jason Momoa, and Ezra Miller are great in their roles. They each have a character moment (earned or not) that makes me interested in seeing their next solo adventure. DC/WB has put some talented filmmakers in charge of the next slate of movies. Justin Lin doing Aquaman sounds great, Patty Jenkins taking Wonder Woman on her next adventure, and Matt Reeves writing and directing The Batman. These are world-class filmmakers who have a great actor in the title role and hopefully that leads to some great story telling. I have no idea who is directing The Flash but I did enjoy him as the comic relief character in Justice League and would like to see if he is more than that in the future. Even Henry Cavill’s “new” Superman was delightful as he is reborn in this film and is no longer a whiney douchebag with terrible parents. Man of Steel 2 is actually on my radar now! But those are the nicest things I can say about Justice League. I loved the cast and I look forward to their solo adventures because having them all together in whatever Justice League was/is/supposed to be was a horrific insult to the fans of DC and moviegoers in general.
‘Suicide Squad: Hell To Play’ is coming to 4K UHD and Blu-ray!
DC Comics and Warner Bros. is set to release a hardcore rated R ‘Suicide Squad‘ animated film called ‘Suicide Squad: Hell to Pay‘ on 4k UHD and Blu-ray. You can watch the film digitally on march 27th, 2018 and purchase the 4K UHD and Blu-ray on April 10th, 2018. The film is rated R for strong bloody violence throughout, sexual content, brief graphic nudity, and some drug material. I’m super excited for this already.
Film Review: ‘Scooby-Doo! & Batman: The Brave and the Bold’!
You never thought we’d get a crossover feature animated film of Batman and Scooby-Doo, did you? Well we have one now and I’m here to say that’s it’s quite a fun experience that combines both the DC Universe and the classic Scooby-Doo antics that we’ve grown to love. This marks the 30th Scooby-Doo film and brings back the whole ‘Batman: The Brave and the Bold‘ cast back to the screen, which is the first time since 2011 when they went off the air with their hit TV show. On paper, or even the fun poster art of the film, you wouldn’t think these two worlds would mix well together, but when the two universes collide, its seems like they were always meant to be together and solve crimes together. They are the peanut butter and jelly of the animated world.
4K UHD Review: Wonder Woman!
Hi everyone, Bryan here….
THE FILM
The Warner Bros./DC Comics Cinematic Universe has been trying to get off its feet for a while now with no success, besides some decent box office money. However, most people would tell you that the new DC Comics‘ films are just not up to par with their rivals over at Marvel for many reasons. These people would be right. Perhaps one of the best moments of Batman v Superman was in fact Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman. It was just a shame she only had a few minutes of screen time in that film. The rest was mostly trash. Luckily, Warner Bros. and DC Comics decided to finally make a Wonder Woman movie, which is the first superhero film to feature a female superhero as its main protagonist, as well with a female director with Patty Jenkins. The result is satisfying, making Wonder Woman a damn good film with a few flaws.
Wonder Woman 4K UHD and Blu-ray Announced!
Hi everyone, Bryan here….
Perhaps the biggest movie of the summer and the one film to get DC and Warner Bros. back on track with their superhero films – WONDER WOMAN, is coming to 4K UHD, Blu-ray, 3D Blu-ray, and DVD. Warner is sure milking this for all its worth, since they are also releasing a 3D version of the film, even though 3D is dead in the water. The 4K UHD is the way to go for sure here if you have the right equipment. You can own the movie digitally as soon as August 29th, and you’ll be able to purchase the Blu-ray, 4K, 3D, and DVD on September 19th. There are tons of bonus features as well, which I can’t wait to watch. Official information below.

Film Review: ‘The LEGO Batman Movie’!
Dan M., here….
The Lego Batman Movie or Deadpool for Families.
When it was released in 2014, The Lego Movie shocked me with how great it was. It was hilarious, had a brilliant concept, and a big reveal that was executed perfectly. It is also one of the few non-Disney/Pixar movies to have a ton of heart. Since that time I’ve seen some Lego Frozen shorts on Disney Channel and some Star Wars Lego stuff thanks to my kids and the humor is pretty top notch. The Lego Batman Movie takes all of these elements and created a truly laugh out loud movie, with a fun story, and some heartwarming moments. It is an A+ family movie.
4K UHD Review: ‘Suicide Squad’!
Hi everyone, Bryan here…
THE FILM
There seems to be a good movie hidden somewhere in ‘Suicide Squad‘, but the film itself makes it nearly impossible for you to find where those good moments are. The film is its own worst enemy, because it promises something new and fresh in the first dozen or so minutes, but then nose dives into the mountain from there on out. This is certainly writer/director David Ayer’s most ambitious project and I can’t tell if it’s his mistake or the collection of DC/Warner Bros. executives who forced the notes on him to make this film not succeed, because again, the first part of the movie gathers your hopes up for something fun. Ayer wrote ‘Training Day‘ and ‘U-571‘, then transitioned into directing with ‘End of Watch‘ and ‘Fury‘, which were both new and fresh takes on tired genres. I was hoping that Ayer could breathe new life and put the DC Comic movie franchise on the right track, but alas, that is not the case.
Who’s Under The Deathstroke Mask and What Movie Will He Be In????
Hey guys, Jana here,
Is Deathstroke coming to the film world of the DC Universe? Maybe so after Ben Affleck shared a solo video with no comment or explanation this morning on Twitter. We don’t know precisely what it means, but it looks to be a screen test as we can see the monitor Batfleck is recording it from.

4K UHD Review: ‘Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice’!
Hi everyone, Bryan here…
THE FILM
For all the comic book fans around the globe, we live in a great time of moviemaking. Over the past decade, we’ve seen Hollywood take the superhero genre by storm, releasing comic book movie after comic book movie with A-list stars, talented directors, and epic budgets to bring our childhood heroes to life on the big screen. This successful genre has even garnered many awards, as well as numerous television shows on almost every network. It shows no signs of slowing up. Marvel has paved the way for superhero franchises, building on each superhero character that culminated into the ‘Avengers‘ movies, showcasing each superhero across the other superhero movies, providing a big bridge to gather all stories together. It’s been an excellent financial and critical success.

Meet The Super-Family With Superman Origin Series ‘Krypton’!!!
Hey guys, Jana here,
There’s a new comic book series on the horizon, and it doesn’t really even focus on one of our most loved heroes, but an ancestor of his. Where ‘Gotham‘ tells the stories of a crime-riddled city and it’s citizens, ‘Krypton‘ will focus on the planet and it’s inhabitants before Superman’s birth.
Zack Snyder Will Direct ‘Justice League’ Film Following ‘Batman Vs. Superman’!!!
Hello, Jana here,
It looks like Warner Bros. is banking pretty heavily on Zack Snyder’s ‘Batman vs. Superman‘ release, with a so-so reception of last year’s ‘Man of Steel‘, they gave him a sequel. Not only is he doing a sequel, he cast Ben Affleck as Batman which has drawn cheers and jeers, mostly jeers, from the public since then. So it seems a little ridiculous to me that Warner Bros. has already announced a ‘Justice League‘ movie helmed by Snyder. I’m not saying a ‘Justice League‘ film isn’t a good idea, I just don’t think building the DC Universe off of the ‘Man of Steel‘ platform is the way to do it.
Warner Bros. Has Cast Wonder Woman!!!
Hi, Bryan Here….
So we have Ben Affleck as Batman and Henry Cavill returning as Superman for the ‘Man of Steel‘ sequel called ‘Batman vs. Superman‘. And now they have their Wonder Woman, who I guess will also be a big part of the story. And Wonder Woman will be played by Gal Gadot. Gadot hasn’t done much, but she is a main player in a few of the ‘Fast and Furious‘ films where she plays Gisele.
‘Mortal Kombat’ Movie Loses Director!!
Jana B., Here….
Kevin Tancharoen, the director that had a new generation excited for another live action ‘Mortal Kombat‘ movie, has decided he’s seen enough of the fight scene. “After 3 years of Kombat, I’ve decided to move on to other creative opportunities. I wish everyone involved in the movie big success,” Tancharoen Tweeted Friday. His departure comes after he directed the popular and widely viewed 10 episode web series, ‘Mortal Kombat: Legacy‘. Besides spending time caught up in the world of Scorpion, Sub-Zero and Raiden, he also directed the reboot of ‘Fame‘ and ‘Glee‘: The 3D Concert Movie.
Superman and Batman To Team Up For Next Film!!!
Hi, Bryan Here…
We have confirmation that Warner Bros. is prepping a Batman and Superman film, a Flash film, and a Justice League film. The Warner Bros. panel is currently in session right now at San Diego Comic Con, which we will have updates on that very soon. What we do know is that all of these films have release dates. The Batman and Superman film will be released in 2015, which might be the ‘Man of steel‘ sequel, ‘The Flash‘ film will be in 2016, and ‘The Justice League‘ movie will be in 2017.

Animation, the all-new, PG-13 rated film arrives September 25, 2012 from Warner Home Video as a Blu-ray™ Combo Pack and DVD, On Demand and for Download. Bryan Reviews ‘Young Justice’ Season 1 Volume 2 DVD!!!
Hi, Bryan Here….
From the vaults of DC Comics and Warner Bros. comes ‘Young Justice’, which is a part of the famous Justice League. This release is the latter part of season 1 boasting four episodes in total. The animation is really good and I think the younger generation will really take a liking to this new generations of super heroes. All hail ‘Young Justice’.

Director Robert Zemeckis Talks About Directing His Next Live Action Film
Robert Zemeckis is best known for directing the Back to the Future trilogy, Forest Gump, Who Framed Roger Rabbit, and Cast Away. Since Cast Away which was released back in 2000, he has moved to doing the 3-D animated motion capture films such as Beowulf, The Polar Express, and his most recent, A Christmas Carol. He is currently working on Yellow Submarine.
It seems he wants to get back in to the live action production side of things. The filmed that just got picked up by Warner Bros. is called “Timeless”. Supposedly storylines are being kept quiet, but is said to be a mega budget time travel story.
Also, Zemeckis and his company have been talking about ideas to do another live action Superman film. I would love to see Zemeckis dive into the DC universe and see what he creates. Hell, his Christmas Carol had Jim Carrey flying all over LONDON, that I thought it was Superman for minute.
And of course as I mentioned earlier, the Roger Rabbit sequel is still on the table which you can read about HERE. So tons of cool films could possibly come to life through Zemeckis.
Blu-ray Review: ‘Star Wars: The Last Jedi’!
THE FILM
There is always hope for a new ‘Star Wars‘ movie. Two years ago with ‘The Force Awakens‘, Disneyand JJ Abrams reinvigorated the franchise into becoming the #1 movie of all time. Not only was it financially successful, but it brought a new love to the film series, since the prequels almost destroyed all that ‘Star Wars‘ had built up since 1977. It was a new day in the ‘Star Wars‘ universe with new characters crossing paths with our favorite original characters, which made our collective nerdy hearts soar with happiness and nostalgia.

In our 71st episode, titled ‘Michael Fassbender is a Fury‘, we discuss the new news on ‘Kung Fury‘ with Arnold Schwarzenegger and Michael Fassbender, the best Marvel Cinematic Universe moments thus far, and current TV shows that should be turned into video games. It was so much fun. This episode is guaranteed to thrill you, chill you, and fulfill you. I am joined pop-culture wizard Jonathan Atterbury and comic book artist Jeremy Megert.

4K UHD Review: ‘The Dark Knight Rises’!
THE FILM
The threats of terrorism, war, chaos, and financial ruin are all too real these days. ’The Dark Knight Rises’ dives into these issues on a massive scale, which makes any film in the Marvel universe look like mere “child’s play” (no reference to a knife-wielding murderous doll). Compared with the other Batman movies, everything is bigger in ‘The Dark Knight Rises’ and there is so much more at stake. Not one second of this film is wasted, the writing and direction is straight to the point, cohesive, and comes across as totally fulfilling in its 164 minute run-time.
Jana’s Best of 2017!!!
Hey guys, Jana here,
I know these “Best of 2017” lists should technically be published in 2017, but why would I start 2018 any differently than I lived the majority of my adult life: Procrastinating and underachieving. What can I say? That’s my wheelhouse.
For a year that put a spotlight on some of the shittiest behavior by some of the Hollywood elite, it was actually a good year for TV and movies. I didn’t limit myself in number because as I moved on with the brackets, I felt like I was making ‘Sophie’s Choice‘ on some of these, so they’re all getting in! I’m feeling my inner-Oprah here, You’ve made the list! You made the list! EVERYBODY made the list!! In order to spare myself any arguments, I’m stating up front that my picks for the “Best of 2017” are not edited in regards to scandal or hideous human behavior.
Mark Millar and Kevin Smith to pen ‘Hit-Girl’ Comic Book Series!
Mark Millar is returning to the ‘Kick-Ass‘ universe with a new ‘Hit-Girl‘ ongoing series, which will hit shelves on February 21st, 2018. In the two ‘Kick-Ass‘ films, the role of Hit-Girl was played by Chloe Grace Moretz and is a very young girl who is the most deadly and violent crime fighters in the world. In this new comic book series, Hit-Girl will leave America and set out for Columbia, where she becomes an assassin for hire.
Scooby Doo and Batman are coming to Blu-ray Together!
I’m gonna go ahead and say it. There won’t be a better film than this all year. On January 9th, 2018, Warner Bros. is releasing ‘Scooby-Doo & Batman: The Brave and the Bold‘ on Digital Streaming. How can Warner Bros. team up this duo? Well, the villains of the Batman universe have partnered up with the villains of the Scooby Doo universe to terrorize the city. Batman then decides to join the other detective agency of Mystery Inc with Scooby, Shaggy, Fred, Daphne, and Velma to fight crime. There are so many scenarios I want to see played out here. I want to see Batman slap Fred. I want to see Velma and Daphne fight over Batman. I want to see Shaggy try to unmask Batman. I want to see Scooby wear a Bat-Dog costume. I want the Joker and Ghost Clown to torture civilians. I don’t think this is asking for too much.
The Blood In The Snow Canadian Film Festival Promises Fun and Blood!
Wrestlemania 34: The Miz Beats Lesnar for the Universal Title!
Written By: Bryan Kluger
Wrestlemania 34 is less than 6 months away with Survivor Series and Royal Rumble just around the corner. I do believe that the goal is to have Brock Lesnar in the main event at Wrestlemania 34 with the title in hand. I also believe he aims to lose that title on April 8, 2018 as well. Just not to the usual suspects (Reigns, Strowman, Joe).
Film Review: ‘Cult of Chucky’!
Hi everyone, Bryan here….
One of the things I look forward to in life are more Chucky movies. I don’t know why, but that seems to have been the case since Chucky terrorized all of us back in 1988 with ‘Child’s Play‘. There’s just something fun and horrifying about the universe of Chucky that always had me clamoring for more films. ‘Child’s Play 2‘ and ‘Child’s Play 3‘ furthered the story along while playing to the same silly-horror tropes of each previous film. Still, they were fun and entertaining.
4K UHD Reivew: Kong: Skull Island!
Hi everyone, Bryan here….
THE FILM
We’ve seen a ton of versions of ‘King Kong‘ over the decades from the 1933 version to the Jeff Bridges version in the 1970s, and even more recently, the 2005 version that was directed by ‘Lord of the Rings‘ director Peter Jackson. ‘King Kong‘ has been a staple in entertainment and pop culture since he debuted in the early 30s and he is showing no signs of stopping, thanks to Warner Bros.and Legendary Pictures who are taking their cues from Marvel and creating their own universe called the ‘MonsterVerse‘.
The Flash Season 3 Runs to Blu-ray!
Hi everyone, Bryan here….
The CW is releasing The Flash Season 3 on Blu-ray on September 5th, 2017. All 23 episodes will be available, along with tons of cool bonus features. I must say that this television show is one of the better DC Comics superhero shows out there right now. Below you can find out all the information about the extras and tech specs for this release. Enjoy and don’t forget to pre-order.
Film Review #2: Wonder Woman!
Dan M., here….
Let’s cut to the chase, Wonder Woman is great and one of the best modern superhero origin movies ever made. It deserves to be mentioned in the same breath as the original Superman, Batman Begins, Iron Man, etc. It is a nearly flawless introduction to a truly interesting character who cannot only carry her own film but will hopefully help carry future DC films the way Iron Man does with Marvel ones.
Film Review: Wonder Woman!
Hi everyone, Bryan here….

Favorite WWE Matches of 2016!!
Hi everyone, Bryan here…
Yes, there were a list of movies that tickled my fancy and made me laugh, cry, and be scared so badly that I had to sleep with the lights on. That list is HERE for your enjoyment. Moving on from that, if you have ever met me or have perused this site, you would know that I like a bit of the ole Pro-Wrestling just a smidgen. So it wouldn’t ben an end-of-year celebrations without trying to show you or convince you that Pro-Wrestling is the BEST thing in the universe. After all, ‘Wrestling is Everything is Everything’.
This is one of the most fun and highest forms of entertainment on the planet and a lot of the time when I’m at screenings, I wish I were watching some good ole fashioned wrestling matches. I don’t know why, but it must be in my blood. The below matches are for sure my favorite from the WWE company strictly. If I were to do an all encompassing pro-wrestling list, I would be writing this for the next two weeks and “ain’t nobody got time for that.” So I’ll leave the ‘Wrestle Circus‘, ‘VIP Wrestling‘, ‘NJPW‘, ‘ROH‘, ‘PWG‘, and ‘Evolve‘ for another post, although I think Jervis Cottonbelly and Joey Ryan (The King of Dong Style) deserve some recognition as perhaps some of the best talent in the wrestling business. Seriously, look them up.
Also, at the very bottom of this list, I will place a non-WWE match, which is one of the best matches I’ve ever seen in Pro-Wrestling, and it deserves it’s own place and category, because it’s that hardcore, fun, and insane. I highly suggest you give these matches that are listed below a real chance. You’ll see the storyline that is being told in the squared circle, the amount of high voltage entertainment and athleticism that goes on each and every night here. You will certainly enjoy it.
Favorite Films of 2016!
Hi everyone, Bryan here….
The end of 2016 is here, which means everyone’s Top 10 list is out already or getting ready to be released. I’m not going to do a Top 10 in order again this year, because there are just so many amazing films I feel so passionate about, that it is difficult to rank them. If you think this is a weak year of films, then you are surely mistaken. I will say that most of the big budget blockbusters this year were duds, but the indie films were nothing short of amazing. So below is the list of films that I truly loved this year. These films will be ones that I watch over and over again, and you should to. I watched 254 films that were released this year (Yes, I counted) and survived to tell the tale. As always, please let me know if any of your favorite films made my list. Enjoy!
You can CLICK the titles of each movie where you can purchase the Blu-rays too. Hooray!
‘Gotham City Sirens’ Will Rock Theaters Soon!!!
Hey guys, Jana here,
Margot Robbie and director David Ayer are back together, the last time this happened, the world received ‘Suicide Squad‘. The next venture is even more of a daunting task, and that is ‘Gotham City Sirens‘. I’ll assume that not everyone eats, sleeps and breathes DC comics and I’ll slow it down. DC is the comic book world I prefer to live in, I like dark, deep, broody, melancholy atmospheres, and I’m not entirely certain the sun ever hits the center of Gotham City, but I’m ok with that. Marvel is too bright and flashy and, just not me.
WWE: TLC 2016 in Dallas!
Hi everyone, Bryan here…
WWE has just finished its 8th TLC pay-per-view right here in Dallas, TX. No, TLC does not mean Tender Loving Care or even the R&B group from the 90s. It stands for Tables-Ladders-Chairs and is considered the “hardcore” PPV of the year for WWE. This was a Smackdown Live brand PPV event where every championship title was on the line. Between chair matches, ladder matches, table matches, and an all-encompassing TLC match to end the night, it’s no doubt that each and every superstar will be sore for next few days after all of their bodies were flung into these steel and wooden pieces of furniture. The event took place at American Airlines Center in Dallas, TX to a big crowd, however it was far from a sell-out. That didn’t stop the crowd from cheering and booing their favorite superstars at all, even though it wasn’t as crazy a crowd as ‘Wrestlemania 32‘.
Holy mother of dragons! Emilia Clarke Joins Han Solo Standalone Film!!!
Hey guys, Jana here,
While we’ve known for some time now that Alden Ehrenreich has been hand-picked to star as Han Solo in the upcoming stand-alone film, we also know that Donald Glover has been cast for the part of a younger Lando Calrissian, but now we have another exciting actor who’s been cast in the project, Emilia Clarke.
Get Your ‘Star Trek’ Film & TV Series Updates Here!!!

‘Star Trek‘ is in the news today and it makes sense for it to be. There’s a new film coming out Friday in the rebooted line, a brand new sequel just announced, and we have some info about the newest series coming to CBS. First we’ll talk about the series.
Sony Has Released the Soundtrack to ‘X-Men Apocalypse’!!!
Hey guys, Jana here,
The apocalypse is almost upon us…the ‘X-Men Apocalypse‘ that is. The latest film in the crazy popular franchise will debut May 27 nationwide. If you just can’t wait another week for some X-Men goodness, you might want to check out the soundtrack, and depending on your preferred media type, you could be listening to the superhero jams as early as today! If you like your music at the tip of your fingers and available at the push of a button, the digital download is going to work and you’re the lucky one because that’s the media available today. If you want a hard copy, the CD release is on June 17.
Get on the Stick with ‘The Flash’!
Wade D., Here…
Hey everyone! So it seems like my first iteration wasn’t a total failure, because I got another chance to Get on the Stick. Just in case you missed Episode 1, here we are trying to apprise you to some sort of greatness that Boomstick just hasn’t touched on enough. So the goal here is to enlighten, entertain, and perhaps titillate you in a way that hasn’t been done quite yet. If you feel like you may be getting over titillated… turn off that Misty Mundae flick (with this crowd I’m guessing it’s either SpiderBabe or Lord of the G-Strings) and start rambling off batting orders from 1970’s MLB teams. We’ll do our best to keep spoilers at a minimum, so relax. The term “Get on the Stick” is all about getting to work, so no more blather… Let’s get to it!
Film Review: ‘X-MEN: APOCALYPSE’!
Hi everyone, Bryan Here….
And we are back with yet another ‘X-MEN‘ movie, marking this the 9th film in the franchise, that is if you count the ‘Wolverine’ movies and what not. If you’re just counting purely ‘X-MEN‘ films, than this is number six with it being number 4 from director Bryan Singer, who started this whole comic book movie crazy back sixteen years ago with the first ‘X-Men‘ film. From there, we have seen the Marvel and DC Universe take off into a multi-billion dollar industry. It’s quite mind boggling, and this new film ‘X-Men: Apocalypse‘ seems to take everything we’ve seen since Matthew Vaughn’s ‘First Class’ and sculpt it into this one film.
Meet The Young Han Solo: Alden Ehrenreich!!!
Hey guys, Jana here,
Alden Ehrenreich has won one of the most coveted casting positions available – Han Solo. The stand-alone ‘Star Wars‘ spinoff from Disney has made a lot of waves with the buildup as to who would come out on top.
Russell Crowe Has Signed Onto ‘The Mummy’ Reboot With Tom Cruise!!!
Hey guys, Jana here,
Universal Pictures is rebooting their classic monsters universe and starting with ‘The Mummy‘. Tom Cruise, Sofia Boutella, Annabelle Wallis, Jake Johnson and Courtney B. Vance are starring in the reboot and there is one more name that can be added to that list of co-stars and it’s the Gladiator himself, Russell Crowe.
Pearl Mackie Is The Latest Traveling Companion For ‘Doctor Who’!!!
Hey guys, Jana here,
In the large series run of ‘Doctor Who‘, the actor that embodies the companion is almost, if not, more important than the actor we see on our screens that we call “The Doctor” for a few seasons. Go into any chat room dedicated to BBC’s ‘Doctor Who‘ and you’ll find at least one discussion thread that debates the best companion. To get into that discussion, it would depend on if we’re talking about “Classic Who” or “New Who”, I sound like Dr. Seuss about now but there are layers to a good debate about companions.
WWE Invades Dallas, TX For WRESTLEMANIA Week!!!
Hey guys, Jana here,
If you’re in Dallas this week, the stars will be shining brighter than ever. I’m talking about the stars of WWE as this is just the beginning of Wrestlemania Week! WWE will take over Dallas with events daily and dozens of opportunities to get up-close and personal with your favorite superstar, culminating in the event that we’ve spent a year building up to, the show, the big enchilada, the granddaddy of them all – WRESTLEMANIA!!!!!
WWE: What to Expect at TLC: Tables, Ladders and Chairs 2015!
Hi everyone, Bryan Here….
TLC. Tender, loving, Care. That’s not the case when we’re talking about WWE by any stretch of the means. TLC in the WWE universe means Tables, ladders, chairs, all of which are used to take down each other in the ring. Some of the most memorable matches in WWE history have been TLC matches with WWE superstars sacrificing life and limb, falling 50 feet in the air into the hard concrete or a folding table, only to be hit by a steel chair or a steel ladder. TLC matches basically mean that there are no rules. All is “legal”, even the kitchen sink, title belt, and even a trombone in some cases.
WWE: O’ What a Night of Champions 2015!
Hi everyone, Bryan Here….
Formally called Vengeance, ‘Night of Champions‘ quickly became a popular PPV in the WWE universe ever since it debuted back in 2001 where The Rock, Stone Cold Steve Austin, Kurt Angle, and Chris ‘Y2J’ Jericho battled each other over the course of a few matches with Jericho winning in the end, becoming the first Undisputed champion. This year, Night Of Champions took place in Houston, Texas and had some spectacular moments. In fact, one of the matches had me yelling out praises throughout. We will get to that match in a minute. In other segments though, things fell a little short, mostly dealing with Sting, who definitely didn’t deserve to be in the main event with current champ Seth Rollins, and who didn’t deserve to have his image and likeness on all the promo art. Don’t get me wrong, I like Sting. He’s a damn fine wrestler. Or shall I say, he WAS a damn fine wrestler back long ago, but not so much anymore. There is far too much talent in the back locker room to give Sting a shot at the championship. First off, Sting doesn’t show up to almost anything, but a couple time a year, whereas everyone else are having matches day in and day out in the WWE. And it just doesn’t make sense to have a guy like Sting who is barely there, more than twice Seth Rollins’ age, and not involved in any long story line to make this match believable, let alone anyone thing for a second that Sting could win the WWE title belt. But first, let’s start at the beginning.
Disney XD Says Allons-Y To New Who Fans!!!
Hey guys, Jana here,
‘Doctor Who‘ is teaming up with an unlikely network, but Disney XD has picked up the rights to the new Who, in particular Seasons 2 through 4, or the Tennant years. Beginning May 9, DisneyXD will kick off their Who programming with a special.
‘Doctor Who’ Will Continue For Another 5 YEARS!!!!
Hey guys, Jana here,
Fandoms are made up of the most loyal, imaginative and awesome people the world-over. I’m proud to say I am the poster-child of the Super-Who-Potter-Lock order, throw in some Tolkien, Browncoats and comic book heroes/antiheroes (DC please!), My Little Pony, and you know a small portion of what my brain contains, the rest is full of song lyrics, guitar riffs, Monty Python quotes and the list of people I want to have hot, crazy, balls-to-the-wall sex with. I said all that to say this, we’re a devoted bunch of people and the possible cancellation of one of our series can result in an agonizing war-cry heard the world-over (‘Firefly‘ flash-backs, anyone?)
