LITTLE WOMEN (2019) – Film Review!
One hundred and fifty years may have passed since Louisa May Alcott’s autobiographical enchanter Little Women was written, but it continues to remain relevant through countless retellings on screen and on stage. In total, three adaptations of this coming-of-age drama have been filmed, yet none quite captured the sentimentality and sensibility of the novel like Gillian Armstrong’s Little Women (1994) —until now. With a rich trajectory of colors, lavish production designs and a skilled cast of personalities, Greta Gerwig’s ‘Little Women’ is a delightful awakening of an American classic.

‘Brigsby Bear’ is coming to Blu-ray!
‘Brigsby Bear‘ is coming to Blu-ray and Digital Streaming on November 14th from Sony Pictures. You might have missed ‘Brigsby Bear‘ in the theaters, but it’s one you shouldn’t miss at home. The film is written by Kyle Mooney and directed by Dave McCary, who both still work at ‘SNL‘. The film stars Mooney, Claire Danes, Mark Hamill, Greg Kinnear, and Matt Walsh and is a mix of comedy and emotions about a young man, setting out to make a movie. There’s so much more to it than that, but I don’t want to give anything away. Bonus features will include deleted scenes, a commentary track, deleted scenes, and more. More below.

Daniel Radcliffe Goes Off-Broadway in ‘Privacy’!!!
Hey guys, Jana here,
Everyone’s favorite wizarding boy genius has developed a love for performing, sometimes on film and sometimes he prefers to hit the boards in a stage show. Daniel Radcliffe has chosen the latter for his latest project, ‘Privacy‘, to show at the Public Theater, an Off Broadway company that has recently hosted several other big names in Hollywood, Lupita Nyong’o, Claire Danes and Anne Hathaway. Not to mention it’s where the crazy-awesome ‘Hamilton‘ held its debut. On a side note, if you’ve not checked out ‘Hamilton‘, at least get the soundtrack, it is the very definition of epic.

We’ve got you covered there, as well, just click here. We’re there for you, like ‘Friends‘, only we’re the nerdy, geeky and more awesome version.
Ten Great Lesser-Known Films Starring Big Name Actors!!
Paul N., Here…
You might find yourself reading the following list, thinking “Hey! I’ve seen all these movies! How dare you claim them to be ‘lesser-known’!” My response to you, should you say such a thing, is “congratulations.” You see, just because you are a film nut like me, doesn’t mean that the rest of the populace is. The following is a list of ten good films with big-named actors that somehow slipped under the general radar. I’m not saying they are completely unknown, but based upon ticket sales, it certainly seems like they slipped the notice of the general public. These are all solid films that, should you enjoy these actors, you definitely want to check them out (the films, not the actors – although to each their own, I guess).
Amy Pascal Leads ‘Little Women’ Reboot For Sony!!!
Hey guys, Jana here,
Hollywood had a Golden Age that ended in the early 60’s, what we have now is the reboot age. Some of the films have been surprisingly good and I can only hope the next title up for reworking fairs as well. Former Sony Pictures chief Amy Pascal is producing the studio’s effort with ‘Little Women‘ the timeless Louisa May Alcott novel that has at least 3 major films that have been based on the literature.
And the 2014 Golden Globes Nominations Are….
Hi everyone, Bryan Here….
It is time for the 2014 Golden Globe nominations. The 72nd Golden Globes will be held on Sunday, Jan. 11 and broadcast live at 5 PM PST, 8 PM EST on NBC. It looks like there were quite a few films that were overlooked. What do you think?
The Weinstein’s Pick Up ‘Macbeth’ With Michael Fassbender And Marion Cotillard!!
Jana B., Here…
The Weinstein Company has purchased the big screen adaptation of Shakespeare’s Macbeth from Studiocanal. The heart-breakingly gorgeous Michael Fassbender, younger Erik Lehnsherr/Magneto from X-Men: First Class and the upcoming X-Men: Days of Future Past is cast as the titular Macbeth. Marion Cotillard has signed on to play Lady Macbeth. Cotillard is fairly well known for playing Billie Frechette opposite Johnny Depp’s Dillinger in Public Enemies. She also recently, and most notably, played Talia al Ghul in The Dark Knight Rises. I first realized her star power when I saw her Ridley Scott’s A Good Year playing opposite Russell Crowe.
Here Are the 65th Annual Primetime Emmy Nominations!!!
Hi, Bryan Here…
The 65th annual Emmy nominations were announced early this morning, and some well deserved shows were mentioned. Notably, ‘House of Cards‘ and ‘Arrested Development‘ were nominated, making Netflix a heavy hand this year at the awards. ‘Mad Men’, ‘Breaking Bad’, ‘Game of Thrones’, and ‘Homeland’ were also nominated. Below is the partial list of nominations. Let us know if you think your favorite show was snubbed this year.
‘Argo’, ‘Django Unchained’, and HBO’s ‘Girls’ Win Big At Golden Globes!!!
Hi, Bryan Here….
The Golden Globes were last night and Tina Fey and Amy Poehler killed it. They were amazing. Even former president Bill Clinton showed up to talk about Spielberg’s ‘Lincoln‘. Even though I really liked the film ‘Argo‘, I was shocked when it won best film and director for Ben Affleck. I was happy to see ‘Django Unchained‘ win for best supporting actor for Christoph Waltz and screenplay for Tarantino. If this is any pre-cursor to the Oscars, I’d be completely let down if ‘Argo‘ takes it all. Don’t get me wrong, it’s a great film, but not the best film of the year. I expect it to and want it to win the best adapted screenplay. Just my opinion. Below are the full results from last night’s show.
Here Are the Nominations for the 70th Annual Golden Globe Awards!!!
Hi, Bryan Here….
The nominations came in this morning and needless to say, I went into a fit of rage. I mean I was so mad, I almost wrote a letter. After going through the list of nominees, while some of the noms were well deserved, many were not, especially in the FILM categories. There needs to be a serious uprooting process at the Golden Globes where everyone involved in voting needs to be replaced by others who know what they’re doing.
‘Homeland’ Renewed for Third Season!!!
Hi, Bryan Here….
Showtime has given it’s award winning series ‘Homeland’ a third season/12 episode order. Homeland’s season 2 premiere, which was on September 30th had 60% more viewers than the 1st season premiere. And the series has had solid and steady ratings since it’s start. Not too mention it sweeping awards shows.
2012 Emmy Award Winners!!!
Hi, Bryan Here….
Below is the list of the winners for the 2012 Prime-Time Emmy Award Winners. I don’t see how ‘Modern Family’ and ‘Two and Half Men’ win anything. They shouldn’t win any kind of award when they go up against shows like ‘Mad Men’, ‘Game of Thrones’, and ‘Breaking Bad’. The Emmy judges need to be fired and never allowed to pick winners ever again. However, much congratulations to ‘Homeland’, ‘Downton Abbey’, Aaron Paul, ‘Veep’, and ‘American Horror Story’
