Hi everyone, Bryan here…

the-shallows

Our brand new show under the MULTI-MEDIA MEN banner is called ‘OPPOSITES ATTRACT‘, where we take a movie and find two people who stand at opposites sides of the film. One person loves it. One person hates it. However, we come together out of love and give our reasons for our feelings on our favorite or least favorite films. Adrian Charlie from Green Screen of Death and Next Projection joins me as we try and get thru our first episode, which was quite funny with tons of laughs, blood, sweat, tears, and a lot of love. In this first episode, we discuss The Shallows, Beauty and the Beast (2017), and the recent Alien: Covenant.  It was so much fun. This episode is guaranteed to thrill you, chill you, and fulfill you.

Film Review #2: ‘Beauty and the Beast’ (2017)!

by Bryan Kluger on Mar 14th, 2017

Dan M., here….

landscape-1478512906-beauty-and-the-beast-movie

Disney’s Beauty and the Beast (1991) is in the top 2 Disney animated movies of all-time. I’ll only allow The Lion King, which has a live action version due in 2019 or 2020, to be ranked ahead of it. This isn’t a debate. These are facts. Beauty and the Beast (animated) is a masterpiece from songs to characters, which is why I loved that this new live-action movie stayed so true to the animated version. It was an extremely enjoyable two hours with some really great moments and I look forward to seeing it again.

Film Review: ‘Beauty and the Beast’ (2017)!

by Bryan Kluger on Mar 6th, 2017

Hi everyone, Bryan here…

Screen Shot 2017-03-06 at 12.22.19 PM

While Disney is busy making ‘Marvel‘ movies and new ‘Star Wars‘ films, they are finding it difficult to make original films these days, which is why they are taking their back catalogue of animated movies and remaking them in the live-action format. We’ve seen it with ‘The Jungle Book’, ‘Cinderella’, and the recent ‘Snow White’ films. Disney has no plans on stopping either, as with the release of ‘Beauty and the Beast‘ and their upcoming ‘Lion King’ live action remake. After watching this new version of ‘Beauty and the Beast‘, I don’t have high hopes for future live action Disney films whatsoever.

Hey guys, Jana here,

"Belle" Portraits - 2013 Toronto International Film Festival

Disney’s live-action ‘Beauty and the Beast‘ is chugging along, steadily filling out the cast with new announcements seemingly coming every day. We all know the story, a young Belle agrees to stay in a castle with a monstrous beast to ensure her father’s freedom, but things aren’t always what they appear to be on the surface.

Hey guys, Jana here, f9ae8-ian-mckellen-cigarette

Disney is right in the middle of their latest trend in film. Taking their own smash animated stories and flipping them around, re-working them into live-action films providing double the bank off a single story. If you’re talking box office success, they’re mega-hits, if you’re looking at critically, they’ve missed the end zone more than they’ve scored. Next up for the family studio is ‘Beauty and the Beast‘.

Hey guys, Jana here,

beauty

We’ve all heard the story, a tale as old as time…Our heroine Belle, sacrifices her freedom to trade places with her father living in an enchanted castle with a horridly monstrous beast that embodies the stuff nightmares are made of. She holds the key to his ultimate salvation and the others living in the castle nudge the pair together in hopes the end of their enchantment will be realized. I grew up on the Disney animated feature and it’s remained one of my top 3 toon-movies even now.

ABC’s ‘Beauty and the Beast’ Has Its Beast!!!

by Bryan Kluger on Feb 25th, 2012

Hi, Bryan Here….

‘Beauty and the Beast’ has been getting lots of attention lately.  And I think it has something to do with Disney’s 3D version of their animated classic.  Not only has there been the re-release of the classic animated film by Disney, but there is this new ABC project coming about, and another project with Guillermo Del Toro spearheading the classic Beast tale.  And now the ABC version has finally cast its beast, and it might be someone you won’t expect.

Hi Bryan Here….

So following Guillermo’s work on ‘Pacific Rim’, he is in line to direct a re-imagining of ‘Beauty and the Beast’.  And Emma Watson (Hermione Granger in the Harry Potter films) is in final talks to star.  In my eyes, Guillermo can do no wrong.  He is amazing.  How awesome will it be to see this done by the same guy who did ‘Pan’s Labyrinth’ and ‘Hellboy’?

Hi Bryan Here….

Beauty and the Beast is absolutely one of the best animated films of all time.  When it first came out. it was a modern marvel and is now a pure classic.  One of the best tellings of the story.  This bluray was released a few months ago and now Disney has released it again with the 3D bluray disc along with all the other discs.  The 3D actually elevates the original content through the new 3D effects.  The same AMAZING audio mix and all the same great extras made it to this release.  A must own for any fan of the film and for 3D tv owners.

Hi Bryan Here….

Guillermo Del Toro and Denise Di Novi are currently developing a re-imagining on the classic tale of ‘Beauty and the Beast’.  Denise also said that Harry Potter star Emma Watson is set to star as the “Beauty”.  There is no word yet on if Guillermo will be directing since he has about a dozen other projects going on and lined up.  It’s more likely he will be a hands on producer.  Can you imagine the tale of ‘Beauty and the Beast’ told by Guillermo Del Toro??  That would be spectacular.  The monster.  The Myth.  The Legend.  The Tale.  Toro is the perfect person for this job.

One of the most heart-warming movies of the year, ‘Wonder‘ is coming to 4K UHD, Blu-ray and Digital HD very soon. In fact, you’ll be able to watch the film digitally as soon as January 30th. Then on February 13th, you’ll be able to purchase the 4K UHD and Blu-ray Discs. Trust me, you’re going to want to his film in your collection. It’s that good. The 4K UHD Dis will feature Dolby Vision and HDR10 support, which is excellent. Bonus features include Audio Commentary, and quite a few behind the scenes featurettes on the making of the movie. Hi, Bryan Here….

dostoevsky The Rocky and Bullwinkle Show1

It looks like DreamWorks Animation wants more ‘Rocky & Bullwinkle‘ material, because they just announced that they will be releasing an all-new short film featuring the classic characters in animation form sometime in 2014. I’m willing to be it will be in March, since DreamWorks also announced that their new animated feature ‘Mr. Peabody and Sherman‘ will be released  then as well.

Inspired by the beloved stories from A.A. Milne’s books and crafted in Disney’s classic style, “Winnie the Pooh,” is the most critically-acclaimed animated film of 2011.  It is narrated by the voice of John Cleese and features the vocal talents of legendary voice actor Jim Cummings(over 350 voices including Gnomeo & Juliet) and a host of other distinctive actors including Craig Ferguson(TV’s ‘The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson’), Tom Kenny (TV’s ‘SpongeBob SquarePants’), Bud Luckey (Toy Story 3) and musical performances by Zooey Deschanel (indie folk band “She & Him”).

THE GOOD LIAR – Film Review!

by Bryan Kluger on Nov 16th, 2019

“If you love Mirren and McKellen, I wouldn’t miss The Good Liar, as their performances are always good.”

The Good Liar pairs Helen Mirren and Ian McKellen in what purports to be a twisty cat-mouse thriller. The two actors are by far the most thrilling part of the film, as there’s not much of a thriller to be seen. The performances though are quite enjoyable and the pairing is one that brings an otherwise bland con-game to life on screen. This film, directed by Bill Condon (Beauty and the Beast) brings Nicholas Searles’ novel to life; however, I think it may have unfolded better page after page in a nice reading nook than in a dark theater over two hours.
