Phish’s first live album called ‘A Live One‘ was released back in 1995, which means this is 22 years old and makes me wish I was still that young again when I first heard this album. It was released on CD and cassette back in 1995, which was a time when vinyl wasn’t really being produced. The album was recorded mostly through Phish’s 1994 tour and is regarded a big fan favorite.

This release will come with four LPs, each being pressed onto 180g red/blue split vinyl, which includes full color images and a big booklet. Also, there will be a free MP3 download of the album, which was transferred from the actual LPs. You’ll be able to purchase the album on October 21st from most retail stores and Amazon.

A Live One was the first Phish album to be certified gold and remains their best selling album. The band produced the record in 1995 with Ed Thacker and his team of engineers at Bearsville Studios. It was recorded by Paul Languedoc on multitrack DA-88 DTRS digital tapes. The 4-LP vinyl set contains twelve original tracks, five of which were previously unreleased at the time of release The laquers for the vinyl edition were cut from the 1/2″ flat masters by Chris Bellman at Bernie Grundman Mastering. Needless to say, I’m super excited.
