Hey guys, Jana here,

Maya Rudolph and Melissa McCarthy are going to be on-screen together again. The ‘Bridesmaids‘ co-stars are taking on the comedy from director Brian Henson, as in Jim Henson Company in conjunction with STXFilms.

In a world where puppets and humans co-exist, hilarity has to follow, right? Now in this hybrid-world, jump into the seedy side of Los Angeles and you’ll find the story of two clashing detectives, one puppet and one human are highly encouraged (aka “forced”) to work together to figure out who is brutally murdering the former cast of The Happytime Gang. The aforementioned gang is a classic puppet show. Now McCarthy will play the human dick and I so hope Rudolph is a ballsy puppet with the tongue of a sailor.

This sounds like so much fun and very similar to Greg the Bunny and Peter Jackson’s Meet the Feebles. I can only hope for so much.

Jeffrey Hayes, Henson, McCarthy, and Ben Falcone are acting as producers. The screenplay comes from Todd Berger, Dee Robertson, Erich & Jon Hoeber and McCarthy.
