The ‘Rush Hour‘ TV series CBS is adapting from the successful 1998 film of the same name is moving forward and has found their martial arts star to take over the role of Detective Lee, the same role Jackie Chan became widely associated with which launched a successful Hollywood film star.

CBS‘ Detective Lee will be Jon Foo, who is Irish Chinese, is from London and got his start working in the circus. He’s featured in a variety of martial arts films like ‘Tekken‘, ‘Streetfighter: Legacy‘ and ‘Vikingdom‘. The series is being written and exec produced by Bill Lawrence and Blake McCormick and directed/exec produced by Jon Turteltaub. The plot centers on Lee, a straight-laced and stony Hong Kong police officer who is assigned a case in Los Angeles who will be forced to work with a cocky cop who believes he’s beyond the help of a partner.
