Hi everyone, Bryan Here…

Danny McBride, who is most known for his role as Kenny Powers in HBO ‘s ‘Eastbound and Down‘, has just signed onto a new series for the pay network for a comedy series called ‘Vice Principals‘. Knowing McBride’s past comedic work and judging by the title of this alone, this has comedy gold written all over it.

The show has an 18 episode order, which will be split off into a few seasons. My guess it will be three, meaning six episodes per season. There is no debut date yet, but we expect that to be announced shortly. “Danny McBride and Jody Hill have created a smart, rowdy and unpredictable style of comedy that we can’t get enough of,” said Michael Lombardo, head of HBO programming. “The idea of them setting their minds on high school was irresistible.”

HBO was the perfect creative family for ‘Eastbound & Down,’ and we’re excited to pack up the van for the next adventure,” notes McBride. “When the idea for the new series became too crazy to keep to ourselves, we knew HBO was the perfect place to unleash it,” says executive producer David Gordon Green.

Vice Principals‘ will center on a high school and the people who ‘sort of’ run the show. Enter the ‘Vice Principals‘. The same crew from ‘Eastbound and Down‘ will serve as producers on this new show. I can see this being equally as good as his previous series and I can’t wait to see who the other principals are.
