Hi, Bryan Here….

powerpuff-girls

The Cartoon Network has just announced that the ‘Powerpuff Girls‘ will have a new special out this year with a new re-designed and re-imagined look. The girls have not had any new episodes or adventures since 2005, but that’s all about to change.  The new special will feature a CG cartoon, rather than hand-drawn animation, and will be directed by Dave Smith and designed by Kevin Dart.  The voice performers from the original cartoon have all signed back on, with an addition of one major talent.

That major talent is Ringo Starr.  Yes, that Ringo Starr.  Starr will play a mathematician named Fibonnaci Sequins, and has an actual song, which it is titled ‘I Wish I Was a Powerpuff Girl’, according to BleedingCool.  I can’t make this up.  So now Ringo is the fourth member of another group, right? This is insane.  Can’t wait to see this, if only for Starr’s performance. Maybe they will release a 45 from it.

Your thoughts?
