Patton Oswalt and Rosemarie DeWitt have joined HBO’s ‘The Newsroom’ as recurring characters in Season 2.  DeWitt will play Rebecca Halliday, a litigator who’s been hired to defend Atlantis in a multimillion-dollar wrongful-termination suit. Oswalt is playing Jonas Pfeiffer, the new Vice President of Human Resources of ACN, the fictional network on the show.

Oswalt and Dewitt played friends and lovers on Showtime series ‘United States of Tara’, and they had such great chemistry, I guess Aaron Sorkin and some other execs got the two actors to join HBO.  This is a great move.  Can’t wait till the premiere of season 2. I wonder if Oswalt will pull a prank like he did on ‘King of Kings’.
