I imagine they want to pump out the film faster as Marvel is looking to make Galactus and the other characters vital parts in their upcoming films. Waiting for 18 months would push back tons of films more than a year.

If Marvel doesn’t take this deal and Fox can’t prove active production on the Daredevil movie by October 10, Marvel gets Daredevil. I’ve also heard that if they can’t get a Fantastic Four movie in theaters with in about the next 18 months they revert back to Marvel. So why should Marvel take this deal? All they have to do is wait.

Also, the deal’s not for the entire Fantastic Four universe, just for Galactus and the Surfer.

Are you high? Thanos was in the end credits of The Avengers. Galactus was in the crapparama known as Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer. How do you work for a comic’s website and make a mistake like that?
