Bryan’s Review of ‘Pirates: Band of Misfits’!!!

by Gumbercules9000 on Apr 30th, 2012

Hi, Bryan Here….

Aardman Studios proves once again that it can turn out a very charming and hilariously funny film that is fun for all ages.  The claymation is top-notch and mixed with that famous dry humor we have come to love from Peter Lord and his creations.  In the likes of Wallace and Gromit and Chicken Run, Peter Lord’s The Pirates! Band of Misfits is a great and pleasurable adventure.

Bryan’s Review of ‘LUV’!!!

by Gumbercules9000 on Apr 30th, 2012

Hi, Bryan Here….

Sheldon Candis’s LUV is one of the strangest yet better coming-of-age films I have seen.  Above all else, this film excels in its character development, which is probably why Candis was able to secure an A-List cast.  LUV is set in Baltimore , which undoubtedly will prompt comparisons to the HBO hit series The Wire, particularly because of the similarities in characters and story.  But where LUV differs, is when it makes its characters come first before anything else –even the storyline.
