Hi, Bryan Here….

We wrote a few weeks ago about James Cameron and his crew taking a journey down to the ocean’s deepest point and doing a documentary about it.  Well at around 3:00 pm PST, James Cameron tweeted that he accomplished just that.  You can read our previous article about the whole voyage HERE.

His tweet read: “just arrived at the ocean’s deepest pt. Hitting bottom never felt so good. Can’t wait to share what I’m seeing w/ you.” At the same time @DeepChallenge, the Twitter page for Cameron’s National Geographic sponsored sub, tweeted “@JimCameron is the first person in history to solo dive to the deepest place on Earth, a record 35,756ft/10,898m”.

Supposedly it will take almost 80 minutes to return to the surface.  That’s like watching Evil Dead 2 all the way through.  This is amazing news and I hope he finds new life and maybe a ‘The Abyss’ type situation down there.
