Bryan’s Review of ‘Wrath of the Titans’!!!

by Gumbercules9000 on Mar 30th, 2012

Hi, Bryan Here….

I had the distinct displeasure of seeing ‘Wrath of the Titans’ this week.  This sequel to the remake of ‘The Clash of the Titans’ is a complete and utter sad disaster on every level of filmmaking.  I haven’t seen a film willingly destroy itself in every way in a long time.  I’m really not sure what the filmmakers and execs were going for with ‘Wrath of the Titans’, but if they wanted an all out jumbled mess of a film, then they succeeded.  As one of my friends who screened the film with me said, “I expect nothing from this film.”  Well, we got nothing from ‘Wrath of the Titans’.  The screen might have well been a blank screen for two hours, because then maybe my imagination could have projected something better than my eyes viewed.

‘Human Centipede 3’ Might Be Delayed Indefinitely!!!

by Gumbercules9000 on Mar 30th, 2012

Hi, Bryan Here….

With about six weeks left until shooting begins on the 3rd and final ‘Human Centipede’ film, things have come to a grinding halt.  We have reported that director Tom Six will have a 500 person centipede for his final act in the trilogy and had Dieter Laser (the original surgeon villain from the first film) to star in the third movie.  Now it seems that Dieter has pulled out of the film last minute and Tom Six and his company are not happy at all about it.

Check Out the ‘Walking Dead’ Season 2 Blu-Ray Set!!!

by Gumbercules9000 on Mar 30th, 2012

Hi, Bryan Here….

McFarlane Toys has designed a limited edition blu-ray set for the second season of ‘Walking Dead’ and it looks really BADASS.  It resembles that zombie that attacked Andrea when she stuck a screwdriver through its eyesocket.  McFarlane is also amking action figures to be released later this year based on the comic series and tv show.

Bryan’s ‘Mirror Mirror’ Review!!!

by Gumbercules9000 on Mar 29th, 2012

Hi, Bryan Here….

I didn’t know what quite to expect from ‘Mirror Mirror’.  I have seen the trailers and have compared them to the other Snow White film coming out this year (Snow White and the Huntsman), and immediately knew that ‘Mirror Mirror’ was the sillier of the two.  Did I hate ‘Mirror Mirror’?  No.  Did I like ‘Mirror Mirror’? No.  ‘Mirror Mirror’ is a foolish yet whimsical film based on Disney’s classic, Snow White.  I have no doubt that ‘Mirror Mirror’ will be eaten up by kids under 12, but if your age is above that of a 6th grader, then you might find yourself angry that you bought a ticket.

BRIDGE – Chapter Fifteen

by Justin Cline on Mar 28th, 2012

CHAPTER FIFTEEN

Peering into the empty elevator shaft, it was difficult not to at least imagine the prospect of tossing Rook’s body down into the darkness.  Despite the fact that the man’s fingers remained animated even after being severed from his body, Bridge was convinced that even they would cease to function once the killer plummetted fourteen stories. Hi, Bryan Here….

I’ve been getting all giddy for the fourth installment of the ‘American Pie’ series titled ‘American Reunion’.  Mostly because, it looks like they literally got everyone back from the original films to be in this fourth one.   We got quite a bit of new footage and of course its way more vulgar than the trailers we’ve seen before this.  This is going to be a lot of fun.  Enjoy.

Hi, Bryan Here….

Here is the second trailer for Paramount’s ‘The Dictator’.  It runs over two and half minutes and stars Sacha Baron Cohen.  Sacha has given us instant cult classic characters such as Borat, Ali G, and Bruno.  I’m glad his ‘Dictator’ film will be more of a film rather than the usual mockumentary.  The film opens May 11th and looks to be hilarious.

BRIDGE – Chapter Fourteen

CHAPTER FOURTEEN

As always, the duality that came from channeling Polly gave Bridge a headache.  Or, in this case, worsened the one he already had.  Most humans—himself included—had difficulty maintaining a single point of focus, much less two, but here he was.  And there he was as well.  On the physical plane, he was seated in a chair in his office, gazing into the eyes of a dead man.  At the same time, his body was also floating weightlessly in space, surrounded on all sides by tiny flickering lights, hovering like fireflies. Hi, Bryan Here….

Director Timur Bekmambetov  debuted the 2nd trailer for ‘Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter’ at Wondercon this weekend.  I’ve been looking forward to this movie for quite some time and I’m glad it’s finally getting made.  The trailers are making the film look really good.  I just hope it holds up.  Benjamin Walker who plays Lincoln in the film said at Wondercon, “As an American, I want to know that my leaders are strong and have the capacity to make decisions — and cut some heads off.”  When it comes to vampires and zombies…I agree with this.

Hi, Bryan Here….

One of my favorite characters from the ‘Walking Dead’ books is that of Michonne.  Michonne is a female zombie killer to put it lightly.  She wields a kitana blade and is extremely deadly.  She is a complete badass.  Well now AMC has cast its Michonne, and it is none other than Danai Gurira.  You might have seen her in HBO’s ‘Treme’.

NBC Gives ‘Grimm’ a Second Season!!!

by Gumbercules9000 on Mar 18th, 2012

Hi, Bryan Here….

I really didn’t take to Grimm all that well, but I know a few people who really love it.  And it doesn’t get the viewers like the top rated shows, but it consistently beats out several shows ratings wise.  So, NBC has decided to give ‘Grimm’ a 22 episode order for its second season.  Congrats ‘Grimm’ and best to you.

by Gumbercules9000 on Mar 18th, 2012

FedMex Here….

Will Ferrell premiers his new found Spanish language skills in Casa de Mi Padre, a Mexploitation film following the cue of Robert Rodriguez, but done in marvelous Zuckere-esque deadpan parody.Evidently, Ferrell was able to score two of Mexico’s most popular and very talented actors, Gael Garcia Bernal and Diego Luna, to come on board with him and take a trip through a Narco-trafficking adventure on a border town ranch where power and honor, and a hot chick, are all that matters.

Hi, Bryan Here….

Okay, let me get this straight.  A 90’s horror film called ‘Leprechaun’ starring Warwick Davis and a young Jennifer Aniston is getting remade by the WWE?  WWE meaning World Wrestling Entertainment?  The same place that gave us Stone Cold Steve Austin and The Rock?  From way out of left field, this is absolutely correct.  So, yes, this is happening.  Let’s not forget we have several ‘Leprechaun’ films already in the library including: ‘Leprechaun in the Hood’ and ‘Leprechaun: Innnnn Spaaaaaace’!!! I can’t make this stuff up.  And just in time for St. Paddy’s Day.

Bryan Reviews ‘Tom and Jerry: In The Dog House’ DVD!!!

by Gumbercules9000 on Mar 15th, 2012

Hi, Bryan Here….

Here’s yet another Tom and Jerry release from Warner Bros. that makes me giddy with nostalgic joy.  This is ‘Tom and Jerry: In The Dog House’ which has twenty two cartoon shorts featuring the cat and mouse duo along with their sometimes pal Spike the dog.  I’m definitely a fan of Tom and Jerry as I grew up watching them constantly.  They don’t get old or tiresome.  They’re still good for laughs and they do not show their years.  It’s great to have these on DVD.
