Hi Bryan Here….

‘Meet the Robinsons’ is a surprisingly great little family film.  This is a Disney CG animated film not done by Pixar, but don’t let that stop you from seeing it.  This 3D bluray release is also just as good as the film itself.  I’ll be honest, I wasn’t expecting much from this movie, but I’m very happy with it.  Not only will kids enjoy the film, but adults will too, as I did.  This release marks yet another re-release for Disney with their amped up 3D collection.

Hi Bryan Here…..

I don’t even know where to begin with ‘G-Force’.  I just can’t fathom that anyone thought that a bunch of guinea pigs that can talk and are actually super spies would get greenlit and made into a film.  Well that happened and kids love it.  I just don’t see anyone over the age of six enjoying this film, unless you have some sort of bizarre fetish and love for guinea pigs.  Other than the film itself being a complete disaster on all levels, the video and audio are pretty decent.  Especially the video presentation.  Talking rodents who are spies.  What’ll they think of next?

Hi Bryan Here….

Now let me just say first off that I am a huge fan of the original 1985 film of the same name.  When I initially heard that they were remaking this horror classic, I was enthused yet a little apprehensive.  Then the casting came through and it was cast brilliantly.  Then the film opened and I believe I saw it opening weekend.  And I was pleasantly surprised by the film.  They did a decent job with most things.  However there were a few things I wish they did better.  But this 3D Bluray release from Dreamworks is pretty amazing.  If you are a fan of vampire horror, not the silly love vampire stories, but a fun and gory vampire horror thrill ride.  Then you will definitely need to take a bite out of this one.  (I know, that was too easy.)

FedMex Loves ‘Pariah’!!! (A Movie Review)

by Gumbercules9000 on Dec 30th, 2011

FedMex Here…..

Pariah, by its definition, is a social outcast.  This film gives the viewer and insight into the world of an African American teenager in New York City who is struggling with her sexuality.  “Li”, the protagonist of this film, hides the fact that she is a lesbian from her parents while simultaneously trying to learn how to exist in a society where she can be accepted for being herself, but still realizing that she is generally shunned by the public.

It’s always a good thing when HBO series go on sale.  Not sure how long this will last.

Bryan’s Top 10 Films of 2011!!!

by Gumbercules9000 on Dec 29th, 2011

Hi Bryan Here…

We’re here at that time again.  The end of the year.  And thus, here is my list of my top 10 movies of 2011.  Now these are films I saw in the theatre or at home that came out in the year 2011.  I have seen several films already that won’t come out until 2012, but those will have to wait till next year at this time.  There were tons of great films that came out this year.  It was a hard year to narrow down.  I usually pick my top 10, by going through the entire list of releases throughout the entire year and then writing all the ones  really liked down.  Then the narrowing process begins.  Now my Top 10 list will probably be way different then most others you will see.  I tend to chose films for my list that I thoroughly enjoy time and time again rather than ones that might win awards at the big shows.  Without further delay here is my Top 10 films for 2011.

Hi Bryan Here….

WOW!  The cheapest ‘LOST’ ever.  I’m not sure for how long, but the entire series of ‘LOST’ is currently on sale for 64% off.  This is that badass bluray set that is in the shape of the island and comes with games and secret compartments.  The set is currently on sale for $99.  This is the cheapest it has ever been, but who knows for how long it will be on sale.  Take advantage if you are a ‘LOST’ fan.

BRIDGE – Chapter Ten

by Justin Cline on Dec 28th, 2011

CHAPTER TEN

Bridge was still puzzling out how Miss Fortune could function with just one small garbage dumpster—only half-full in the early part of the evening—when the cook stepped out the back door and lit a cigarette.  He seemed to take no satisfaction from it, and Bridge could have sworn he wasn’t inhaling, the smoke drifting past his face and lingering near his left eye before dissipating into the air. There is going to be a Prequel to the Watchmen!!!

by Gumbercules9000 on Dec 25th, 2011

Hi Bryan Here….

More Watchmen???  Not sure how I feel about this, but DC is hardcore in production of a mini series of a prequel to the Watchmen.  Currently the title is called ‘Panic Room’, but I’m sure that is just to keep super fans off the scent.  I’m sure it will change.  And it looks like Adam and Joe Kubert will be drawing some of the books.  As well as J.G. Jones will lend his talent to the artistry.  DC is keeping a pretty tight seal on info about the book and who knows what Gibbons and Alan Moore have to say.  But I will say I am excited and annoyed by all of this at the same time.  Our friends Bleeding Cool got some quick shots of some of the artwork for your enjoyment.
