MGM has been on the lookout for new Gremlins-type flicks to put out for kids. Killer Pizza, a novel by Greg Taylor, happens to fit that criteria quite nicely.

The story follows a 14-year-old boy who gets a summer job at a pizza parlor. What he doesn’t realize is that it’s a front for a monster-hunting organization, and that his life is about to get rather hairy (I’ve always wanted to use that joke).

The film is written by Adam Green (Hatchet series, and not the friendly ones) and produced by 1492 Films. No word on casting or a director as of yet.

MGM’s other kiddie project is an animated adaptation of Where’s Waldo? Don’t ask me how. I got nothin’.
