The Bishop Charlotte Reporting….

FX has bought the rights to Vin Diesel’s poker drama Raising Blind, the larger-than-life actor’s first small screen credit. After the success of…well, every Fast and Furious movie, Diesel is settling into the executive producer’s chair of his television project. There’s no time for starring, however, as Diesel has yet another Fast and Furious sequel coming up as well as a new Riddick installment (Whyyyyyyyy?).

John Dahl, director of underground gambling story Rounders, is set to direct the pilot. It’s a good match for him, as Rounders is one of the more successful portrayals of underground gambling in cinema, and we can look forward to a nice gritty tone. Ben Younger (who worked with Diesel in 2000’s Boiler Room) and Jay Longino will be writing the pilot as well as joining Diesel in their executive producer titles.

Not much is known about the project yet, but we’ll keep you posted.
