I don’t know about you, but I’ve been waiting for six years for the sequel to ‘Sin City’.  My favorite book out of the ‘Sin City’ series is ‘A Dame To Kill For’.  And it seems like every time the subject of the sequel to ‘Sin City’ comes up, not much is said.  It seems like nobody wants to talk about it.  Well the good folks over at WE GOT THIS COVERED sat down with director Robert Rodriguez and one of the questions that was asked was about the Sin City sequel.

Question: Any word on Machete 2 or Sin City 2?

RR: Sin City 2 is going good, we’re just finishing the script for that, we already got the money. We have everything we need so we can just start shooting as soon as we get the pages. And it’s the same thing forMachete 2. We’ve already got the budget, just waiting for the script. As soon as we’re finished writing we get to start the shoot.
So, going back to being vague and not saying much, what does that answer mean?  They have money already, but no script?  Doesn’t make sense.  Are Rodriguez and Frank Miller financing it themselves?  Does his TroubleMaker Studios have the money to finance the film?  I heard a rumor long ago, that Angelina Jolie was considered for the Dame role.  I wonder if there is any truth to this still?  But, if thing swork out, it looks like a ‘Sin City’ sequel will be coming sooner than later.
