Hi Bryan Here….

Disney is hard at work on their ‘Tron’ franchise with another film and a new animated series.  The animated series will be called ‘Tron: Uprising’ and is set to premiere in the summer of 2012.   “oices in the show come from Elijah Wood, Emmanuelle Chriqui, Mandy Moore, Paul Reubens, Lance Henriksen, and Bruce Boxleitner.”  That’s one hell of a voice cast.  Also it appears that Daft Punk will be scoring the tv series.

At a TCA session dedicated to HBO’s ‘Entourage’ final season, show co-creator Mark Wahlberg said that he and the other co-creator of ‘Entourage Doug Ellin wanted to bring the show to the big screen.  Wahlberg said he wanted to finance it himself if he had to.  And Doug said “We’re going to do a movie.  We’re going to do it, the questing is when and how quickly. ‘Me and the Devil’

Airdate 7/24/2011

True Blood episode “Me and the Devil”, while good in its own right, was clearly a filler episode. It moved and built up the many story lines that the show is working this season. On that note, it almost feels like the show is trying too hard to keep this many story lines going and keeping them interesting. The episode itself felt rushed and hurried. The transitions from scene to scene were abrupt and not what I’m used to when watching True Blood. Each scene basically gave us 5 minutes with each story line. It was a little on the frustrating side. It was like getting a massage five minutes at a time, when it starts to feel good it changes. But again as a whole I did enjoy the episode. Now on to a re-cap of the story lines!

Hi Bryan Here….

“1969 was a year unlike any other. Man first set foot on the moon. The New York Mets won the World Series against all odds. And for three days in the rural town of Bethel, New York, half a million people experienced the single most defining moment of their generation; a concert unprecedented in scope and influence, a coming together of people from all walks of life with a single common goal: Peace and music. They called it Woodstock. One year later, a landmark Oscar®-winning documentary captured the essence of the music, the electricity of the performances, and the experience of those who lived it. Newly remastered, the film features legendary performances by 17 best selling artists.”  This set normally sells for $70.00, but is on sale for 63% off making it $25.99!!!  This is a MUST OWN!!!

Hi Bryan Here….

There are not a lot of reviews yet for this movie, but the ones I have seen so far have not been good at all.  I whole heartedly disagree with all of these critics.  This ‘Smurfs’ movie was surprisingly a whole lot of fun, great, and funny.  I was not expecting that at all.  The mix between the CG and real world is amazing.  And Hank Azaria’s performance as Gargamel is spectacular.  He has proven once again he is one of the greatest character actors of our time. This movie will be fun for the whole family with everyone of every age enjoying it.

Hi Bryan Here….

‘Snowflower and the Secret Fan’ is a film by Wayne Wang who is probably most known for his film ‘The Joy Luck Club’.  Over the years Wang has directed movies such as ‘Smoke’, ‘Because of Winn-Dixie’, and ‘Maid in Manhattan’.  These are a far cry from ‘Joy Luck Club’, ‘A Thousand Years of Good Prayers’ and his most recent ‘Snowflower and the Secret Fan’.  I must say I am happy to see Wang return to the Chinese American storylines in his films.  He does this effortlessly.  ‘Snowflower and the Secret Fan’ is based on the novel by Lisa See.

Hi Bryan Here…

It’s hard to believe it has ben fifteen ears since the HBO series ‘Tales From The Crypt’ finished its seventh season.  I very much enjoyed that show growing up and always was very fond of the comics.  Well it seems like a new TV series based on the popular and controversial 1950s EC Comics anthology is in the works with Gil Adler, producer on the HBO Crypt series, and Andrew Cosby, co-creator of Syfy hit Eurekaand co-founder of comic book publisher BOOM! Studios.

Hi Bryan Here….

It was reported yesterday that Director and showrunner Frank Darabont (Shawshank Redemption) left the hit AMC series ‘Walking Dead’ midway through shooting the second season.  Supposedly, Frank was having a hard time with he rigorous schedule of a television shooting schedule.  Feature film shooting schedules have more time usually.  But, it looks like Glen Mazzara has taken over.

The summer months are quickly approaching the horizon like the fury of black iron and steel. Soon, it’ll be hotter outside than hell and the all of the coal that powers the engines on the Santa Fe line.

Summer is that time of year where most people, like myself, are desperately wanting to travel and be mobile for a little while. We want to escape the confines of office deadlines and see the world from the vantage point of a moving car or fast aero plane. For the folks of Johnny Cash’s time, they may still dream of seeing things from the opening of a big box car, traveling East and West on the Rock Island Line or the Union Pacific Railroad. Sadly, for most of us that era of American life has whizzed on by, but the songs collected on “All Aboard The Blue Train” sure does the job of getting us to a time in our minds where we wish to ride the open rails. by Gumbercules9000 on Jul 27th, 2011

Hi Bryan Here….

So J.J. is back from vacation and is done with all things ‘Super 8’ for the time being, that he has put his focus on ‘Star Trek 2’.  He is currently co-writing with Roberto Orci, Alex Kurtzman, and Damon Lindelof on the sequel to Star Trek.  He is hoping for a production start in January.  And Chris Pine is definitely reprising his role as Captain Kirk.  So far, a script and story has not been approved, but the studio is ready when the script and Abrams is.  I’m sure everyone will be returning.  I wonder if we will get a Shatner cameo this time around.

Check Out the ‘Amazing Spider-Man’ Remake Trailer!!!

by Gumbercules9000 on Jul 27th, 2011

I think it is ridiculous to remake this, but at least the trailer looks good and there are some great actors throughout the film.  I just don’t see the need to remake it.  But enjoy the trailer below.
