Hi Bryan Here…

Come out to The Kessler tonight Friday the 15th and witness one of the most thrilling musical experiences you will ever have.  I am of course talking about the Rebirth Brass Band from New Orleans, Louisiana.  They have been featured on the hit HBO show “Treme”. Get tickets HERE.

According to Kessler’s website: “The Rebirth Brass Band is an institution. Formed in 1983, the band has long since graduated from the streets of New Orleans to theaters and festivals all over the world. Rebirth is committed to upholding the tradition of brass bands while at the same time incorporating modern music into their show. Their signature brand of heavy funk has not only won over several generations of music lovers, it has become the soundtrack to an entire city. Rebirth is the undisputed leader of the pack, and they show no signs of slowing down-awaited at their Kessler Theater debut.”

Now I have had the distinct pleasure of witnessing and getting down and funky with one of Rebirth’s gigs, and they DO NOT disappoint.  You will come out of the show glowing.  On a bad night, they will tear the roof off the joint and on a good night they will save your soul!!!

Get your ass to The Kessler this tonight and let the music of Rebirth funk you right on up!!!

Get your tickets HERE.

I, Robot (2004)
Dr. Alfred Lanning:
[voiceover] There have always been ghosts in the machine. Random segments of code, that have grouped together to form unexpected protocols. Unanticipated, these free radicals engender questions of free will, creativity, and even the nature of what we might call the soul. Why is it that when some robots are left in darkness, they will seek out the light? Why is it that when robots are stored in an empty space, they will group together, rather than stand alone? How do we explain this behavior? Random segments of code? Or is it something more? When does a perceptual schematic become consciousness? When does a difference engine become the search for truth? When does a personality simulation become the bitter mote... of a soul?
