Recently, the big zombie epic oral history novel written by Max Brooks (son of Mel Brooks) was having difficulty being financed.  This is even with Brad Pitt set to star and Marc Forster (Finding Neverland, Monster’s Ball, Quantum Of Solace) set to direct.  Well this just in, there are three companies that are wanting to invest in the film.

Batman Will Be Rebooted After The Third Batman Film!!!!

A Star Trek Sequel Will Come Before A Jack Ryan Sequel!!!

Paramount Pictures has been working on a new Jack Ryan film for quite sometime now.  But tons of obstacles have fallen in its path.  Most recently, they have been eyeing Chris Pine (Kirk from the new Star Trek) as playing the ttle character the likes have Harrison Ford and Ben Affleck have played in the past.  Well it seems that Paramount has put the new Jack Ryan film on the back burner in order for the next Star Trek film to be released which has no release date or start date yet.

Director Greg Mottola (Superbad, Paul, Adventureland) will direct the pilot episode that Aaron Sorkin (The Social Network, The West Wing, A Few Good Men) is creating.  The TV show right now is untitled but is looking to star actor Jeff Daniels (Arachnophobia, Dumb and Dumber) as a new cable network political commentator.  This sonds maybe a little bit more like Sorkin’s Studio 60.

Terrance Malick might have the best eye for film since Stanley Kubrick.  His new film, “Tree of Life” is set to debut at Cannes this year and after that, the rest of the world will be able to see this beautiful masterpiece.  This poster really does say it all.  It seems they are stills from the trailer.  I cannot wait to see this.
