Hi Bryan Here…

It was only a matter of time, that “300” would get a sequel.  That film made so much money for Warner Bros. and spawned so many books and toys, that it really was just common sense to make another film.  And it has been talked about for a while now.  The sequel will be called “Xerxes” and Frank Miller is on board to create this world once again for the silver screen.

“Xerxes” is based more on a prequel time line than a sequel timeline to “300”.  And original director Zack Snyder (300,Watchmen, Sucker Punch) was slated to write and direct “Xerxes”.  But timing is not good for Snyder and Warner Bros. right now.

Snyder is busy on post production on Sucker Punch and his next project will be Superman, so Snyder is booked up for at least a couple of years.  So Warner Bros. has offered the job to Guy Ritchie.  Now I like Ritchie’s work in Snatch and Lock Stock, and Sherlock Holmes.  It will be interesting to see his take on this film.

Do you think Ritchie can do the job??
