Dec/2017

Cowdefender Here,

Enter the Void is at times masterful, at times kinda bad, daring, draggy, misanthropic. Much of the film was shot first person, complete with blinking. The story telling was at times very clever. The visuals were at times rich. But… There were times that Noe hung on a visual too long.

Hi Bryan Here…

The other day I posted a story HERE where I talked about an article that a guy who works for Disney wrote about all of those “walkaround” characters  you see at Disney Theme parks such as Mickey, Donald, Goofy, and Pluto.  Basically the greedy asshole suits at Disney wanted to start charging kids and their families a sizeable charge for a “photopass” which would allow the kids and families to take pictures with their favorite characters behind velvet rope with security.

It looks like Warner Bros. and producer Joel Silver are going to bring back Riggs and Mutaugh once again for another Lethal Weapon film.  But this time it might be a reboot instead of a 5th sequel.  So basically we will get new generation of actors with the same story.  Nothing  is set in stone yet, so the possibility of having Danny Glover and Mel Gibson reprising their roles is not completely out of the question, but it looks that way.

I never really thought much about joining music fan clubs the many years I’ve been collecting music, but I recently joined Jack White’s “Third Man Records Vault” fan club service a few months back, perhaps out of sheer jealously about the rare goodies I was missing out on. Thankfully, I wised up in plenty of time to be introduced to The Greenhornes.

The latest Vault subscription service package included some really sweet goodies, as have been the case since The Vault service launched a couple of years ago. Hi Bryan Here…

Yes.  “Gotham High” is real.  This was pitched as a tv show and it got lost in the cards over at DC/Warner Bros. from all the Batman projects that are going on.  Basically it is a Batman cartoon with all the Batman universe in it, but it is set in high school and all the heroes and villains are the students that go there.  It sounds a lot like that MTV cartoon they had severl years ago called CLONE HIGH where a scientist cloned a ton of historical figures that were high school students and they all went to CLONE HIGH.  It was a hilarious show, but was only on for one season die to the huge controversy it made.  That photo above is Clayface, Two-Face, The Penguin, Killer Croc, The Riddler, Batgirl, Batman, Scarecrow, Catwoman, Joker, Harley Quinn, Poison Ivy, Bane and Mr. Freeze. As teenagers. It’s a promotional image from Gotham High, a show that was being developed by comic book  artist & author team Celeste Green and Jeffrey Thomas based on an image they sent to DC.
