Kimbrell said, “I’ve been looking forward to this show for quite some time. I had pitched the idea to Studio 204 co-founder Kim Neiman early in the year, about getting together some of the letterpress and silk screen artists we knew and put together a show. After some scheduling conflicts between some of the artists, I’m thrilled to finally get this show produced. I’ve admired the work of all the participating artists, and I even own some of their pieces, so It’s great to get to exhibit alongside them, in addition to organizing the show.”

Many of the artists participating in the exhibit have been working in print and design for a number of years, like veteran artist Casey McGarr of Inky Lips Press, formerly a creative director for Fossil, as well as Studio 204 co-owners Neiman and Virgil Scott. Color Box Design owner Rhonda Camp Warren was nominated in 2009 for “D Magazine’s” ‘Best  Stationer’ in Dallas. All of the work on display will have been created and printed by hand, giving the work the kind of character you can’t find in commercially printed materials.

“I think it will be difficult to not be intimidated by the talent in this show,” says Kimbrell. “All of the participating artists are quite talented and very successful in their field. I just hope my work will stack up well against them.”

“What’s So Funny About Peace, Love & Understanding” opens this Saturday, November 13th at Studio 204 – 204 East Street, Arlington, TX 76010, from 6-9pm. Refreshments and groovy people will be on hand.
