You probably have not heard of “John Dies at the End”.  It is a comedic horror book written by David Wong.  Well, it actually started as a web serial in 2001, then it got published.  I have not read it yet, but will soon.  It sounds so much fun.

So, Don Coscarelli (director of Bubba Ho-Tep & Phantasm) is directing the movie.  I am a big fan of Coscarelli and I know he will do some great work on this adaptation.  The casting so far is looking amazing with Paul Giamatti and Clancy Brown already signed on, and just of recently a few other awesome actors have been added.

They are:

Doug Jones (the faun in Pan’s Labyrinth & Abe Sapien from Hellboy)

Daniel Roebuck (Artz: the exploding teacher from Lost & Morris Green from The Devil’s Rejects)

Glynn Turman (unfortunate science teacher from Gremlins & Mayor Royce from HBO’s The Wire)

and….

The Legend Himself…Angus Scrimm (The Tall Man from The Phantasm Series)
