It’s Jim Henson’s Birthday Today

by Gumbercules9000 on Sep 24th, 2010

Jim Henson was born today in 1936 and gave us and the whole world MUPPETS. He gave us Sesame Street, Kermit The Frog, Gonzo, Fraggle Rock, Labyrinth, The Dark Crystal, and much much more.

In my opinion, I think Henson’s work is far superior to most of the CGI that is done today. Jim’s creations have character and are so life like that you really think they are real. Unlike most of the CGI creatures that are lifeless and drab.

Jim was truly a master at what he did and his legacy continues to live on today.

Watch the video below for a tribute. Damn, there is something in my eye.
